It's a lovely village location with ponds, a small river and fields all around the property. The huts are built with bamboo and hay. I liked the common area more than the rooms. The bathrooms need better maintenance. The bed linen had holes, and need better washing. Food is clearly the main selling point. They serve large portions of tasty... More

Environment was blissful with an authentic feel of rural Bengal. Food was good. Manager & staff were courteous & helpful though apparently without any training in hospitality management. Light was very insufficient both inside the room as well as in the campus. What was alarming was that rooms had almost no privacy with bamboo structured flimsy walls & equally flimsy... More

Food are good. Ambiance is also good. Boys are so good and Co operativ. But maintenance is low. No Privacy. In the top of the wall one feet open. In winter cold wind is coming through the holes in the wall. In mid night it is terrible. Car parking is not total cover. Satyajit Kundu.

Last March, we, in a group of six, visited Monchasha, by now a familiar rural tourism destination, in East Midnapore, West Bengal. It offers a surreal calm with impeccable hospitality. A real combo of ethnicity & modernism, in its setting and infrastructure, in its mood and melodies, in its rhyme and rhythm. Monchasha, is much much more than just a... More

On January 7, 2015, we made our second trip to Mon chasha, Midnapore. It has already become one of our favourite weekend getaways from Kolkata. The first thing that strikes you when you reach this spot is the management's loyalty towards ecotourism. From the luggage cart to the solar-powered lamps, from using differentiated dustbins for biodegradable and non-biodegradable products to... More
