Located in a beautiful spot with gorgeous views in all directions, this was a great place to stop on our journey through Northland. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed a lovely Mediterranean platter prepared by Linda, who is as dedicated to her food as much as Guy is to his art. His chairs are amazing and we were surprised that he is not more widely recognised for his beautiful creations. This was a complete one-off experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.

We visited for one night, the B&B is a little remote and I wouldn’t have wanted to try to find it in the dark, but the trade-off is that you have amazing views on three sides and an incredible serenity. Linda and Guy are wonderful hosts, both of them are artists, one with food, the other with steel and wood.

Linda and Guy are wonderful hosts and the place is quite with amazing views. I recommend the place, for a couple or with friends and Guy will show you his art all unique chairs made with iron and local wood. Very convenient if you visit the Kauri Museum next door. Philippe

Overnight stop on the way north. Warmly welcomed by Linda showed around and offered refreshments in the dining room Guy arrived and helped with drinks. We had preordered platters for supper which were more than enough. Linda then treated us to home made chocolate cake with ice cream which hit the spot! Suddenly very tired we repaired to our spotless comfortable room where we slept soundly. In the morning we could appreciate the spectacular location. You can see down to the coast, impressive! Breakfast was another lavish spread with such a choice. Before we left Guy showed us his workshop where he makes works of art called chairs, very impressive such a talented man. We loved our short stay and highly recommend a visit if in the area .

Beautiful remote B&B with great hosts. The breakfast is delicious, with fruits from the market. Vegetables for dinner come from the hosts' own garden! Views from the rooms are absolutely stunning. Host makes great art in the form of artistic chairs!
