My husband and I booked a last minute get away in cabin 4 for Memorial weekend. We had never been to Navajo lake before but based on the reviews it seemed like a nice place. I was a bit leary on the "rustic" reviews, but I'm always up for an adventure. We arrived about 10 minutes past closing time (9pm)....

Very pretty area but dealing with the workers from the lodge was a discouraging experience. Employees at this establishment seemed to value their egos more than their own integrity as they were quick to pass judgement and lie when put on the spot.

The location is great - right on Navajo Lake - but the cabins are disappointing. Sitting on the toilet required looking at filthy baseboards and an actual pile of dirt in the corner. The bed sank in the middle, more like a culvert than a mattress. A note warned that they generate their own electricity so please don't use appliances.,...
