          We had site D29 I think which was fine but not the most sheltered or private. If we went again I think I would try for one of the walk in sites or maybe D19, D20 or D21. I didn't get a chance to check...More

          We stayed here one night (scored the last site about 30 minutes before we arrived!). Very spacious spot C17 with amazing views! Enough for 2 tents and just a few steps from the restrooms (flushable toilets). Everyone was very respectful to the 10pm quite time....More

          Rec.gov, exactly 7am their time. That is when they release the new open sites the. Not 7:01, but 7am on the dot. They go quick. Good luck. It is worth it.

          What loop is the best to reserve? Looking at bringing my family of 5. Does it matter? Are they all great?

          We stayed in Loop B and loved it, but I don't think you can go wrong. Some sites are by the river which is nice, but they are also less private as town restaurants are on the other side. We stayed in B036 near the bathroom... More

          Does anyone have tips on how to reserve a site? We have been trying daily on Recreation.gov for weeks with no luck. Sites that show availability in Loop A instantly gone every day.

          It's really just getting lucky at this point. There is another campground right nearby called South Campground that is first-come-first-served where you may be able to drive into and get a site, but if you don't you're out... More
