We spent four nights. It was a good way to visit Zion. We made our reservations months in advance. Nice restrooms but no showers on the park or water at campsites. Outfitters at Springdale just across footbridge to park offers excellent showers for 4 bucks. Sites are shaded and spaced well enough that you have some privacy. Traffic was awful... More

The campsite site is all gravel, we were able to fit two tents and two hammocks. We made sure to face our resting areas looking straight at WatchMan. We didn't use the shared firepit as we were exhausted from our hike but others seemed to enjoy it for grilling and kicking back with a few drinks. We also stayed at... More

Most importantly: Book far in advance Unless there's a cancellation, it's difficult to get a spot if you wait until the last minute. We booked 4 months out. Also important: make sure you don't get a walk-in campsite. That's what we had despite booking ahead of time. We didn't think it would be a big deal, but walking back and... More

Thrilled with our loop B riverside pitch! Overlooked by the imposing but comforting Watchman and with a fabulous burbling river behind us along with a sky full of stars at night - this was the stuff dreams are made of! We swam in the sparkling river and the kids (teens) played on inflatables over the gentle (ish) Rapids. Easy walk... More

Only managed get 1 night here, and that was a last minute cancellation. Fortunately the site was right by the river and was lovely. Each site is almost surrounded by mature trees and shrubs (somethin lacking in south campground) which makes the whole place feel nicer and gives you more privacy. Book well in advance to stay here, it's worth... More

Had a great stay at Watchman Campground in Zion. Campsites are well spaced and restrooms are clean. Walking access to showers outside of the park. Great fun playing in the river that ran through the campground.

Zion national park is our favorite park of all. Staying in watchman campground is a special experience. the campground is at the foot of the beautiful mountains, very well located to visit zion and the sky is amazing at night with full of stars. The major con for us was the fact that there is absolutely no shade! in early... More

Although the CG was OK, our site was terrible. We booked ahead and were stuck with the last two sites which said they would fit our size RV. We get to the gate to check in and the ranger looked our rig and said good luck getting into that spot. Are you kidding me? We proceeded to the site and... More

Great campsite, but beware of the squirrels! They will eat any food you leave outside or in your tent. We stayed at campsite 57 in Loop B. It had plenty of shade, and is within close walking distance to the restrooms and the river. It also has a nice view of the canyon. The restrooms are very clean an have... More

We tent camped one night and loved it. It was the middle of May, crowds were not bad and the weather was perfect. We camped in loop D, site 19. Not far from restrooms and a good amount of shade. A little close to the group site, which got a little noisy, but quieted down fairly early. If tent camping... More
