Pleasantly surprised by Zion Lodge! Have stayed at other Xanterra lodges in National Parks, they are usually adequate but nothing special. Zion was the exception, newly renovated, nice Southwest decor, satellite TV, private balcony. We had a lovely view from our room, too. The lobby was nice and clean, the check in staff friendly and helpful. This resort also has... More

We had one of the cabins that are part of Zion Lodge. We checked in very close to the official check-in time and they recommended the cabin at the end, I think #539, for the most quiet and best views. It is great to be allowed to drive up to the Lodge and leave your car there the whole time.... More

Room deposit was never returned. This historic hotel is located right in the heart of Zion National park. The park shuttle buses call directly to the hotel which means you can get around easily to see the park and do the various hikes. The room was clean with good air conditiong. We had a balcony to overlook the park and... More

In centre of Zion. Service good. We had a motel room, in block further away from reception. Bigger rooms, and nice lobby with chairs, tables, sofas. Good patio. Better to be at back, as quiet, no people walking past, view of cliffs. Lots of bats to watch! Room we'll equipped, clean, nice decor. And in evening when shuttles stop, and... More

Staying at the end of the road has it's advantages. A huge one for us was the stunning view from the valley floor. It was so quiet in the canyon without all the traffic noise. Our son had a blast playing in the lovely open grassy field in front of the lodge. Our room (219) turned out to be a... More

As other reviewers have said this really is the best place to stay and really get a great experience of the park. It is the only accommodation in the Zion Canyon and the location is spectacular. The cabins were cute and very well appointed. They are much newer and more modern than any others we have stayed at in the... More

Staying at the Lodge is really the best way to have a true Zion experience. There are options just outside the park in Springdale, but there are so many more benefits to staying within the park. Anyone staying at the lodge is given a red sticker to allow you to drive your vehicle to the lodge. Others are not allowed... More

This is all about location! The views are spectacular, the restaurant next door is nice, and being able to have this as your hub for the park shuttle service is very convenient. The room was relatively spacious for our family of four, but a bit dated. Pretty typical if you've stayed in other motel style national park lodges. Perfectly comfortable... More
