If you want to be in the center of the Shenandoah Park and have modern facilities, dining options, and gift shop options without leaving the park, I highly recommend staying at Skyland. I only stayed for one night passing through, so next time I would like to explore more hiking trails and the horseback riding that is offered. However, I was... More

Spent five nights here; staff is super; accommodations were great; view from our room was unbelievable. The resort is in the center of the National Park, so was a great location for us being able to have quick access to hiking. Entertainment at the Tap Room was enjoyable - something different each night. Lots of fun!

I must disagree with all the previous reviews. I’ve stayed in many hotels in the national parks, and I know not to expect luxury accommodations. But there’s a difference between a good, bare-bones hotel and one that just feels run-down and poorly managed. At this one, it feels like management knows it’s the only game in town. It doesn’t have... More

Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and you could see Luray down below. The sunrise and sunset was beautiful over the mountains. We had our dog with us, if you're not a dog person let them know so you won't be put in the building with dogs. Our room was clean and housekeeping great, the mattress on... More

Stayed 3 nights and had a really great time. Location and scenery amazing. Accommodation ok but could do with a bit updating, though clean and well kept. Though quality of room made up for by balcony where could sit and watch the eagles soaring in the thermals! Food and service in restaurant very good, portions immense. Recommend the blackberry ice... Love Shenandoah!! Went over Labor Day weekend and still didn't feel too crowded at Skyland. Clean room with a great view! Recommend for families - lots of great hikes nearby that are easy to get to. Good trip all around!

Great place overall. It was very crowded as one would expect on a long weekend, but generally well managed. We could see a great variety of accommodation and you would better find out what are you getting into as there isn't much information on the website. I would recommend calling them if you can than go through their website which... More

Our cabin was nice and in a good location. All the employees were nice & helpful. Skyline resort is really a great place. The restaurants were ok, not a real big selection, and not much for local flavor, same with the gift shop. That being said, the whole park is absolutely AMAZING!! If you ever get the chance to visit,... More

Enjoyable birthday celebration with family. Food was excellent but somewhat overpriced. Wine selection was very limited and again overpriced. Breakfast buffet had a very full menu. Rooms were rustic in nature and had a wonderful view.
