This is a unique experience to wake up looking out over waves of mountains into the Shenandoah Valley. Excellent access to hiking trails. A great place to stop. The hotel is not modern but the views are amazing.

We had 1 night here on our driving tour of the area. Another 1 or 2 nights would be ideal. Accommodation is basic but the only added to the experience for us. How lovely to sit out on the verandah and take in the view and sounds. We had a room on the upper floor which we preferred. We ate...

Our family had a fun and relaxing time at Skyland. Views were great. My wife enjoyed reading by the fireplace in the lobby. The only problem we had was the restaurant and bar began running out of food/drink due to the end of the season.

A great place to stay. The time spent on skyline drive and at Skyland are never wasted or leaving you wanting. By all means go explore. The Shenandoah valley is a short scenic drive and offers great shops.caves and restaurants. .....go.go go

Shenandoah Park isbased around Skyline drive which winds it's away along the ridge at the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As you drive along one minute you get great views to the right, then round the corner and the view id the other way. There are many places to stay - when we were there everything else was closed...

The location is undeniably gorgeous, up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and with sweeping views of Shenandoah Vally. We were there for the 3-day veteran's day holiday. It was the last of the 3 lodge/resorts in the park that was still open. Unfortunately, it just seemed they decided to wind down before their guests all departed. They were booked solid...

Staying inside a national park is always preferable to staying outside, even if more expensive. Skyland has been around awhile, and our building (Craigin) showed it. The bathroom needs significant overhaul, decor is dated, doors/molding are showing their ages or effects of the 8-month season (we were there near the end). BUT you're actually in Shenandoah NP, near the middle,...

We got the room with a nice view but the room could have been better. When I booked the hotel I thought I booked it through trip advisor and didn't check that it was some third party who was involved. The hotel had rooms available for a lesser price when we were there but since we already made our reservation...

Stopped in for a break on the Skyline Drive on a Monday. We were there the day before and there was not a parking place to be found. Even on Monday the Dining Room was packed and close to closing. We had soup and Sweet Potato Pountine which was excellent. While not as close to the large dining room windows...

I love Shenandoah - and I have wanted to stay at Skyland for a while, which I did in November. The views were beautiful and the room was roomy, adequate and pleasant.
