We were only there one night as we traveled the entire blue ridge parkway. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate in the drive there. It the next morning was clear and gorgeous. The room was nice. Did have a few millipedes to deal with but we were in the woods! The room was nice and clean. The entire resort area is...

I would definitely stay here again. We had a panoramic mountain view in our cabin that was spectacular in the morning and evening. Driving the Skyline Dive was invigorating to say the least. Food was better than average in the Skyland Resort Restaurant. Hiking up to Stony Man Overlook was an experience to remember!

Family trip with three kids. Reserved a renovated room. We were in room 12 which is in the building by the office. Nice room with AC. Beds are ok. Dining hall leaves much to be desired. Not much selection and prices are ridiculously high for what you get. Views from our room were spectacular and the hiking was excellent. Pic...

This resort is surrounded by the beauty of the Shenandoah National Park with loads of hiking trails to enjoy. Our room was fine, rustic. We had our Golden Retriever with us so loved that the floors had no carpeting and were hardwood. Beds were comfortable but the room could use some updating especially the bathroom. Choose a second floor room...

My daughter and I recently visited the Skyland resort and the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains. The setting was inspiring! Following a brief rain shower, we took a quick hike up to the top of Stony Man Mountain and were amazed by the views of the valley and the tranquility of the mountains (although it was a bit windy up there too!)...

The highlight of this trip is the trek up Old Rag trail. This was a group trip with 34 people this year. On the second day we did a shorter side trip of 8 miles. If you have not visited or hiked the Shenandoah, I highly recommend it.

While the rooms and amenities are quite outdated (especially for the price of the room), this was a very pleasant stay. It's wonderful to be able to stay inside the park. The view from our balcony was great and we enjoyed having wifi available at the Dining/gift shop building. Now, they just need to extend it to the guest rooms.

Room 161 had a perfect view of the sunset beyond the mountains. The sounds of nature were very relaxing. We were able to purchase a bottle of wine at the gift shop and enjoy it on the patio. The staff opened it and also provided glasses. Staff were very accommodating.

The rooms are rustic, but what I expected for the stay and all the staff were helpful and nice. I think if I went back again, I would get a cabin with a kitchen to help cut down on food costs. The valley and mountains were just amazing and the hiking was great..and hard!

Spectacular, awesome, exhilarating, and beautiful! We had no expectations and what a surprise! This outstanding beautiful area took our breathe away around every corner. The sunrises and sunsets were glorious. Even when a heavy fog set in it was beautiful. Everything was in bloom, dogwoods, red bud, trees and grasses.
