2nd 2 day stay at Skyland Lodge in last 2 years. Very happy with both experiences. Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service and the 75th Anniversary of Shenandoah National Park. A TRUE NATIONAL TREASURE!

it was ideally located with beautiful views ......if you stay on the mountain side it is really scenic.....restaurant and bar are both within easy walking distance and the trails on the skyline drive are all fairly close

Top location in the park, and nice surroundings in the resort. Very good service in the bar/lounge and good reception service. Absolutely great view from our room directly towards the valley. The room was ok, but without AC, only a fan. Would go there again, but the standard hotel wise is not the reason.

Enjoyed the Whiskey Wine Trail Tour, a packaged offered during Skyland stay. We had an excellent tour guide He was so friendly and accommodating and very informative (he had been a park ranger). Especially enjoyed the Copper Fox Distillery tour. Very interesting and the young man that gave us the tour/taste testing was so entertaining! The lunch that was included... More

Awesome trip and stay!! Drive up Saturday morning and cruised around Skyline drive with my husband until check out. We booked a premium room and couldn't of asked for a better room or stay! The room was clean, bed was comfortable, AC worked great for it being 95° outside, the bathroom was big and clean. This is the perfect place... More

We were looking for a relaxing escape with beautiful vistas and found exactly that. We liked it so much that we came back again later in the week on our return trip home. Skyland in Shenandoah National Park is not a luxury resort but instead is homey and comfortable. We were happy with our rooms which were clean and well-maintained.... More

We were traveling with 2 small grandkids and wanted to have a relaxing stay with a restaurant inside the park, so we tried this. Yes, the accommodations are a bit rustic, as other reviewers have said, but adequate. The cabins are spread out throughout the area so it would be possible to pick and choose if there is plenty of... We stayed here overnight mid-week for a quick getaway from DC. All the motel units have balconies overlooking the mountains. It was a very rainy week in May down below, but we were above the clouds in the sunshine. We hiked nearby and then lazily watched the clouds ebb and flow from the balcony. The restaurant onsite is fine, neither... More

It was a great vacation with challenging hiking and wonderful ranger programs. Good food. Nice people. The scenery from our balcony was beautiful and great for relaxing. Lots of song birds and redtail hawk. Loved the history program and restored lodge open house.

The staff were all friendly and willing to help. The rooms are rustic and have a wonderful view. There is no a/c but we were there in July and that was not a problem. Pet friendly rooms are available for those who like to bring the dog along. There is a bar With live entertainment, a restaurant, and a take... More
