The temperatures and humidity are significantly (20 degrees different) than from the lower elevations in Northern Virginia. The camping areas along with the cabins are very convenient and easy to access. Skyland offers many hiking opportunities to see nature any time of year. We especially like the spring, summer, and fall hikes as the variety of trails (from simple to... More

We stayed at the skyland resort back in June even though we had a great experience in the park the accommodations were not as I expected. Our room had a beautiful view but inside was very dirty, the baseboards were falling off, since there is no A/C in the units the smell is really bad. A mix of odors, mold,... More

Excellent location, lovely views, could see the valley from my back door. Gift shop / dining room / bathrooms / tap room were all great. Wasn't noisy, everyone was nice, decent-to-good food. Only bad was musty room smell.

Our family of 5 spent 3 nights in 2 rooms here and we were in the recently updated rooms, which included AC. The rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. We are not from the East Coast and are not used to the humidity so we were grateful for the AC but I think that if you lived here you'd... More

The rooms were fine but there was no view from our room. We were drawn to the beautiful views from the rooms on the website. The room was clean but the curtain rod was bent or broken so it looked really tacky. There were some rooms with a view but not near where we were.

ok enjoyed very much ok. Love the walking trails, the wildlife in the area. Whenever we come you just get to relax and enjoy yourself. Haven't tried camping but have checked the area out. Might try that one day.

We had a lovely stay at Skyland with a comfortable room. Enjoyed the tap room dinner and the clog dancers. We drove in from the north and exited through the south so we got to see the whole beautiful Skyline Drive. All in all, a very nice stay.

Very relaxing and quiet. The trails and scenery are absolutely breathtaking! The lodging is clean and you still feel like your outdoors. We had a thunderstorm and it was amazing watching from our deck. It is pet friendly and our dog absolutely loved it. Over 500 trails and each one is more beautiful than the last.

Great spot, well supplied for either hungry drivers or sweaty hikers. Good food and service; pleasant and helpful staff. The deck is great for very casual (or dirty), and inside is as nice as this kind of lodge should be, Lovely setting.
