We spent two nights at the lodge recently and have two boys, 7 and 9. The lodge is VERY comfortable and easy to stay. Our boys felt right at home. Yes, there are a lot of kids and families if you stay in the main lodge and for meals, but that is the beauty of this place if you like... More

We stayed 2 nights and I thought from the website that the Family Camp was just in summer. So it was just my husband and me and then big families with lots of kids!!! We were the only couple. The rooms are okay; not very well appointed. Ours had the stairs right next to it and kids clomped up and... More

long way to go but it's worth it. Got lost, my sister rang and the staff was very helpful to give directions.Staffs are very helpful and very nice. We arrived in the afternoon, cold and hungry and there's a warm soup and fruits prepared all day. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. Room is a bit outdated. But the place and the... More

Staff gets 5 stars. They were friendly and excellent in every respect. Location gets 5 stars, but follow the online directions for snow travel to the T and bring chains. Rooms get 4 stars. Rooms were nicely furnished, beds comfy with snug woolen blankets and quilts, bathroom was updated, modest but clean. A few minor things were a bit worn,... More

We arrived late but phoned ahead to tell them. They said they would keep us a dinner warm but we arrived in time to partake. Look the food wasnt great hence 4 * but the staff, the room, the open fire, the ambience more than made up for it. We didn't have younger children and t would ave bee. Reflect for... More

After reading a few poor reviews of this place, I was a bit apprehensive about staying here. We were limited in our options for places to stay near the park, so we decided we would take our chances and prepare for the worse. After all, there were a number of reviews that were positive; maybe we would be one of... More

The staff was friendly, however the room was outdated and not clean. There is no TV or internet connection in the rooms. The food served at night was not the best. If you want to relax and enjoy your room, keep on driving.

Staff extremely friendly, food very good, hearty, with different menu each night, buffet style. 3 meals/day included in room rate! I don't see how they can do that. Also, they prepare bag lunches if you're on the road the next day. I took advantage of that several times. Communal dining with big fireplace great for meeting people and enjoying conversation... We stayed at Montecito Lodge in late October this year. You could not ask for a better location for exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. We had three generations in our group- grandparents, parents and four young children. Everything from check-in to food to activities was professional, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent; the salad... More

We accidently found the Montecito Lodge as we were driving through Sequoia National Park. It was late in the evening and we saw the sign for the lodge. We were surprised, but pleased that they had a room available. The second surprise was the lodge itself. If you want a 5star resort, keep driving. The check-in is located in a... More
