I knew this place catered to families, but when I booked a Sunday through Wednesday in early February, I figured with school being in session, there would be few families and mostly adults. I was wrong. A home school group associated with a church had booked the place for the week and there were about 20 families with kids! Everyone... More

We just stayed here with our large school group this weekend. We loved it! Plenty of food and friendly and accommodating staff! My daughter injured her wrist and Bob (part medic/chef/closed road escort) was awesome! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

My family traveled to Montecito Sequoia Lodge for the week of Christmas. My husband and I had spent a weekend at the lodge a few years ago. We wanted to bring the kids. We included 2 adults, 1 kid (11) and 2 teens (18 & 17). We had so much fun in the snow! Our room was huge and included... More

We liked the stay, the friendliness of staff, activities and the general atmosphere. What we didn't like is the stomach flu we all got afterwards and the 3 families that vacationed with us. It could be coincidental, but the conditions are pretty anti-sanitary in the kitchen area. I'm not with the department of sanitation, but I could sense that all... More

Stayed with three other families, and made memories to last all of our lifetimes! The meals were great (and sooo nice not to have to cook or pay separately!). The day and evening activities were sweet and provides something for everyone. Really looking forward to making this out family tradition!

We were a large group of men family members that went to the Montecito for several days in October as a guy's get away. It is a rustic lodge that was perfect for us. All the meals were top quality and the kitchen was open at all hours. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. They have all kinds... More

We stayed 2 nights in a double room in the main lodge as part of our California tour. Our room was a small double with ensuite. The room was comfortable and adequate for our stay. We had breakfast and the evening meal at the lodge and took out a packed lunch through the day. Packed lunches are ordered the night... More

Came here w/ our kids Thanksgiving week for two nights, and wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but we all had a great time. It's "all-inclusive" -- lodging, three meals/day, and all your activities, which vary depending on the season. It was snowy (and snowed more) when we were there, so activities included sledding, snow-shoeing, snowball forts and fights for... More

The worst customer service ever! We arrived at Montecito after a long drive from LA to discover the hotel had been closed due to the nearby forest fires. No e-mails or calls were received to provide prior warning not even a mention on their website which we had checked the night before departing from LA for directions. Even at the... More

Dear Sir, We are so very sorry to hear that you did not receive word about our property closing down due to the "Rough" Fire. Once we were notified by the Forest Service that we had to close to guests, we immediately posted on our Facebook page about the situation, and had our Reservations Staff, Front Desk Staff, and our... My wife and I stayed at the Montecito for two nights during our visit to the National Parks. I wasn't sure what to expect as we booked it online. We had a room in the lodge and it was just what we needed: clean, adequate facilities; 3 meals a day included; and a base from which we could explore the... More
