Oh this was truly amazing. We stayed in the shooting star cabin, perfect cabin for two. It was perfect and I so want to be able to get in the next time I try and book! We were there during the shutdown so it was even more peaceful than we had expected, The cabin has one bedroom - a great... More

My step son and I went up for the solitude, natural beauty and quiet. We found all three and had some fantastic meals as well. Creekside Cabin was great. In these rustic cabins without electricity you can talk up the old business of talking to one another rather than typing. It was refreshing ! The beauty of the area speaks... More

We had a fabulous time, the amenities, folk and food were fantastic. Pie, tea and coffee were excellent. Long winding drive was not as scary or long as expected. Did not see any marmot devouring cars. Would definitely return. Our two year old also had a great time and we all slept well.

My husband and I stayed for three days while he was recurperating from hernia surgery. It was wonderful with just the right amount of easy hiking in the Mineral King Valley. The staff, although young (mostly college students,) were very pleasant and eager to help. This is an historic resort. We stayed in one of the historic cabins and its... More

If you want to be deep in the woods, but prefer not to tent camp then I highly recommend Silver City. I didn't know exactly what to expect, but was very pleased with the historical cabin Forest Glen which was the least expensive option at the time I booked. Isolated from the other cabins and across from the bathroom cabins... More

Last year my family stayed at Silver City and had a challenging experience (see Silver City Is Falling Apart for August 2012). To the credit of the owner, Philip, they reached out to us and offered to make amends for our bad experience. We were not able to take advantage of their offer until this year and my wife and... We live just down the road - sort of - Exeter. So we have the ability to enjoy Silver City a lot. It is always great. There are a number of different types of cabins/facilities, depending upon your needs. Several years ago, my daughter and I stayed in one of the small cabins the night before we started our backpack... More

Our visit was absolutely wonderful and will probably be the highlight of our entire summer. The windy, narrow road up was tiresome, but well worth the drive. The setting was serene, ahh so peaceful. My family was famished from the drive. I ordered the Mountain Burger and had a slice of Razzle Dazzle Pie that was to die for. Best... More

My family and I have visited Silver City Mountain Resort many times. We love the history of the area. Silver City Mountain Resort is a very unique place. The road to Mineral King is very curvy and in some places on the road it is only wide enough for one vehicle. So it is important that you are comfortable driving... More
