Nothing special about this lodge other than location. Wow! Perfect! There is no TV, WiFi is slow- BUT YOU ARE IN A NATIONAL PARK TO GET BACK TO NATURE! :) Beds were small (double). Clean sheets and towels. We had a patio room. Which was on the ground floor and overlooked to river. Just wonderful. My only reason for taking... More

We had a fun time! The lodge is in a great location with good services. The staff are pretty awesome. The lodge has a handful of rooms so once the place clears out in the evening it feels like no one is really around. There's no cell reception in the valley and the internet is really slow. I really liked... More

The lodge is clean and simple with really nice staff at the front desk and dining area. The prices in the store were surprisingly very reasonable. You can hear the river all night and it's pretty soothing. We woke up in the middle of the night and the stars were endless. There's plenty of hiking around and you have a... More

This place is way out there. Long, winding road to get there (my stomach got a little upset) so they have to import everything from far away. My husband was impressed with what they were able to do considering their location. The staff was excellent and our room was clean. I was able to borrow a hair dryer but not... More

We enjoyed the lodge although we would have liked to have access to internet and television, mostly for weather and news, but maybe that's what we need to get away from too! Could use more signs! Almost missed the Visitor's Center but kept asking until we did find it. Very secluded and away from the rat race.

The drive from Grant Grove to Cedar Grove is certainly worth driving! You get to see the powerfull Kings River and Kings Canyon which is the deepest of North America! The lodge is situated alongside of the river, this is amazing! Rooms are basic, but ok. There was no fridge or tv available in the room! You can get a... More

Lodge staff were very friendly and booked me into a room last minute. Room had little patio right on river but limited AC with a fan on a stand for air circulation. Room was dated but clean. Nice to drink a beer and play cards on our patio listening to the river. Small cafe on site with limited menu but... More

While not a 5 star hotel, this is exactly the type of property I love to visit in the park system. The bed was comfy, the room clean, the bathroom functional, a good shop with all kinds of snacks and necessaries, and a little restaurant for a hot meal and breakfast. The location is what make it awesome of course!... More

This place is amazing! If you want to get away from the city to a relaxing peaceful place? This is the place to go. The lodge is in the middle of the woods and if you are into hiking? There are several trails to can hike. The lodge is right in front of Kings Canyon National Park

Come for the natural beauty, access to hiking (without dogs & bikesI), and a very reasonable place to relax. We loved being so close to the river and hearing it at night. There were hardly in bugs near the lodge. There were no crowds and there was very little wait for meals, however I wonder how it would be if... More
