The park is so huge that it is a good idea to stay right here in the middle. The hotel is small (only 12 rooms) so we were glad we got a room. Room is basic but clean, TV in good working order, bathroom/shower good. Went outside at 10 pm to look at the stars--amazing! No problem with hot water...

We were fortunate to find this place when we made a last-minute decision to travel to the Sequoias 9/20-9/22. The staff was excellent! For the rustic, historic Park surroundings, the room was perfect! Yes, it was basic and nothing too grand; however, it was clean and neat, and we slept soundly. The Lodge is not too far from all the...

If all you want is a clean place to stay with a bed and a shower, then you might like this place. It is very basic. The only restaurant is a pizza place, and the common areas are a little bedraggled. The rooms are very small, but clean. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The only advantage of this...

Although we loved being in Kings Canyon and were so enjoying our anniversary trip, we were disappointed with this property. It was clean, but the rooms, linens, etc. were so outdated that it made you wonder if it really was clean. It was nice to leave the windows open at night knowing you were in the middle of the wilderness,...

we were very disappointed with this lodge - the room was on the second floor with no elevator so we couldnt take our suitcases upstairs and had to unpack in the car and take a small bag with overnight essentials with us. The room was stifling hot and very stuffy, with no a/c. The staff leave at 8 so if...

Fantastic FREE breakfast spread. Check in easy & quick. Cable TV. 30 min drive to the Giant Forest 1 hr drive to King's Canyon Convenience store connected to lodge. Parking spot only 10 paces from lodge entrance. Go out to the parking lot at night & the best stars I've ever seen. Cozy, comfortable lodge. Rustic- I felt like I...

I wished we had our camping gear with us on this trip. However, without it we were resigned to pay for high-priced, mediocre lodging to be in or near the national parks. Nothing we experienced was unexpected (perhaps for the uncomfortable bed). On the positive side, the breakfast was quite good. And the location was perfect, right outside of Sequoia...

We were planning to goto Sequoia and was looking for a place to stay which is closer to the park. Stony Creek fits the bill perfectly. It's 20-30 min from the major attractions and situated in the edge of the park. The accommodation was basic and they had free WiFi. The rooms were clean and Spartan. We could not find...

Stony Creek Lodge is a quaint, cozy little lodge on the main drag of General’s Highway. It’s nestled in the forest; the lodge is in an ideal location – about 10 miles from the Kings Canyon entrance and about 10 miles from Sequoia’s big trees. Don’t let the rustic charm of this place fool you. The rooms are small, with...

Great Location, friendly staff and would stay here again. Easily booked a room for one night online, a little expensive but figured it would be worth it being so close, especially on the Memorial holiday weekend. It would have been nice for the automated email confirmation to include the address and check-in time. Make sure you call (before you get...
