My daughter and I booked a few days prior to arriving and was shocked there was availability in the park. We were in a king room and was pleasantly surprised by the in room refrigerator and Keurig. Room was warm and didn't appear to have a/c but was able to open window and a fan was provided in room. Our... More

Best scenery in the world. Sequoias are breathtaking. Hikes are amazing. Friends and Family we come with can't wait for next year's experiences at Grant Grove and surroundings. Restaurant in full force April 2017. Staff pleasant and helpful. Do yourself a favor and experience God's Country here!!!!!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in the middle of July 2016. It was a splurge for us to stay here and very expensive. For the cost, I'm very disappointed with the service. I knew about the restaurant and the food truck as I read the website clearly. However, I paid extra for the bed and breakfast package... More

The rooms were just fine. The Lodge restaurant was closed so food was available via a breakfast buffet (so so and $10) or a food court truck about 2 blocks away. It wasn't too bad. Otherwise you could go to restaurants in Sequoia. Seemed to change our bath towel more often than one would expect in an NP hotel.

Trip was nice, lots to do and see. Stayed 2 nights and traveled the area. Food was excellent and it was nice to have a visitors center, post office and food truck all on the Hotel property. I would recommend staying here if you want to stay in the park.

We're in Sequoia National Forest, so certainly, the location is spectacular. The lodge itself has a rustic appeal with beautiful decks for sitting outside. The bed is comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is good. Fridge in room (don't crank it to too high or it will freeze your food). Unfortunately, everything else about this more than $200/night... More

Hi and thank you for the feedback. I'm sorry to hear about your TV not working, and disappointed our staff did not refer to our hotel manager or myself that were on property during your stay. Our cell phone reception is limited based on the carrier you use. Verizon provides 4G coverage, (which is amazing for a remote location), but... More

We found someone else's sock covered in dust under the table and an old hair band under the bed. It looked like they haven't clean the room for days. I had to wet one of the hand towels to wipe around the room for good 10mins so my kids won't get allergic reaction from house dust. I should ave asked... More

1) Front desk didn't know when shuttles ran and didn't bother trying to find out for us. 2) We needed help with our suitcases and there was no one to help. 3) The room keys didn't work and the front desk had to walk us to our room every time we wanted to get in our room. 4) We needed... More

A couple of things stopping me from giving this place 5 stars....the lack of nearby parking and food. The rooms were super nice and clean. The place is fairly new. The front desk staff were very helpful in helping us plan our route and decide what to see through both parks. Very little parking close to the lodge and if... More

Hi Michelle S. We serve continental breakfast in John Muir Lodge for our guests, hence the table set-up. The Grant Grove Restaurant is undergoing a renovation and is slated to open spring 2017 and a temporary Food Court by the Grant Grove Market is serving food while the restaurant is being renovated, it's only 1-minute from the lodge, but can... We drove in at 7pm on July 2nd and loved the location of this lodge amidst tall trees. Our room was on the 3rd floor, a bit of schlep with bags but the lovely balcony made up for it. Beautiful rustic woodwork furniture, spacious room. Loved the rocking sofas everywhere in public spaces.. It was a short 5 minute drive... More
