Stayed there twice. The owners Carla and Lewis Evans think nothing of arguing in front of the guests. They are rude to everyone, sort of equal opportunity. One example: "the lock on my door doesn't operate" response "you're lucky, some people don't even have a lock".

No, I am not talking about the lack of wifi or TV. I left the windows open, and the mosquitos came in and ate me alive. Other than that it was a nice place. There was cold beer, nice grub, and a fantastic chocolate shake.

First off, it should be understood that this is an old-fashioned lodge owned by a outdoorsy man. This is not a hotel owned by a huge company and it should not be compared. The owner was quiet, polite, and took pride in his 1938 building, classic 1928 working gas pumps, over 300
