We have visited this business several times and experienced rude service each time. The owners are belligerent and not interested in making the visit a positive experience. The ice cream/food is over priced and served with hostility. I recommend continuing into the canyon and stopping at Cedar Grove. The experience there is much more enjoyable.

Wow.. From arriving I knew my time here was going to be as short as I could make possible! My family and I booked this for the location and it was a great place to stay lovely scenery and views however I cannot say that the service matched this and what a shame that is.. The owners were rude we... More

No, I am not talking about the lack of wifi or TV. I left the windows open, and the mosquitos came in and ate me alive. Other than that it was a nice place. There was cold beer, nice grub, and a fantastic chocolate shake.

First off, it should be understood that this is an old-fashioned lodge owned by a outdoorsy man. This is not a hotel owned by a huge company and it should not be compared. The owner was quiet, polite, and took pride in his 1938 building, classic 1928 working gas pumps, over 300 historic photos, and his dog, Cougar. The owner... More

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch after a long day of traveling since it was listed on the park map. The food was subpar and the attitude of the management was even worse. The manager was extremely rude during our meal. After taking our order, he made it a point to make fun of my name after... More

This was the poorest value for our money that we have every had. We stopped here without realizing that there was a delightful hotel just down the road about 30 minutes. Since we got there right at 5, we were not able to get anything to eat so headed to the other lodge. Our dinner there was delightful and the... More

We were tent camping and decided to "lodge" for one night. The owner went to town for the night immediately after renting us a $100 room. It was a bedroom. There was a very small bath. The room was too hot to start. Then the sun set and wind began to blow. It got cold. We couldn't figure out how... More

129$ per night is around 120$ too much for this dump. Stay away from this terrible place: old worn out beds, very small cabins, bad smell, cold, poor food, no wifi, no cell phone access, no nothing actually. Except: Located far out in the wonderful nature in Kings Canyon.

nice hotel for a national park. not too historic but modern. won't write a book about the restaurant but we've had worse. delivered on the basic needs. if we had to do it again...we would of camped. if you're not prepared or prefer a cushy stay....this isn't your worst option.

Unfortunately, we didn't stay at this lodge, because we were booked elsewhere. I would have stayed here! We spent time at Cedar Lodge, in King's Canyon, and I have the say that the food was awful and overpriced, although staff was delightful. On the way out of the canyon, we stopped for a late lunch, hoping the food at King's... More
