Grant Grove Cabins are a must do retreat for anyone that wants to really enjoy the mountain experience if you aren't planning on actually camping in tents. It is an amazing experience! The oversized cabins a VERY spacious and comfortable.

The cabin accommodations were clean & comfortable, with great beds. Easy to access local sites. Overall great experience -- but note the food building is under construction (summer 2016), so food options are very limited, available through temporary (but clean) food trucks on-site.

We snagged last minute reservations (within 10 days prior to arrival) by checking the website availability calendar daily, for a week. I have never been camping, and my fiancé is a clean freak who hates bugs, so I was nervous when the only lodging available was the cabins - because the rooms being so "rustic" and the shared shower/bathrooms. However,... More

The cabin was pretty rustic and they really need some sort of table in there to give you a place to set things down like plates and glasses. The bathrooms were mostly always clean but sometimes missing toilet paper or hot water. The biggest issue across both Kings Canyon and Sequoia is that there are minimal choices for food. All... Lodging options in and around Kings Canyon are rather limited as camping seems the norm. In the main (little) area of Grant Grove there is a small lodge, a set of small cabins, and camping spaces. We opted for the cabins to get a little space for our family of four. Arriving, it was clear to my wife that this... More

You can hire from the National Parks Service, for a modest fee, a cabin in Grant grove. They are simple and functional. Toilet block is shared, and showers take 4 quarters. Beware the invasion of burbling V8 trucks carrying campers (and their quite extended families) wanting showers. That causes some pretty impressive queues. Get in early, or wait until late.

We took an impromptu trip to Sequoia & Kings Canyon N.P. and were lucky enough that a cabin was available with a couple days notice. This was a fantastic find and if we ever find our way back we hope to stay here again! It is rare to stay inside a national park and have such wonderful accommodations.

Our room was clean, we had helpful service throughout our stay if we needed towels and amenities, The setting was beautiful still and quiet even though it seemed full. We went to bed and woke up with with the sun, cooked on our little propane cooker, but had warm cozy beds, a great combination for parents that needed a break... More

This is a nice rustic cabin in a beautiful park. No A/C, no bathroom in our cabin, no refrigerator, but very comfortable and clean. However, the main dining area is currently under construction and there isn't much in the way of good food in the park.
