My husband & I had only one night in Sequoia & stayed in the park at the Wuksachi Lodge. The rooms are in 3 separate buildings that was very similar to the lodging on the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Reminds us of college...More

Thank you Dear Guest for the 4 stars and for the wonderful review. We are so pleased that you stayed with us and we hope that you will return again someday.
The Wuksachi Lodge is a beautiful place to get away in the forest and stay comfortably. It is accessible to the Sequoias and Giant Redwoods and is a warm welcoming place to come into in the winter. The rooms are comfortable and the food delicious.More

This was our 1st time staying within a National Park. We've never attempted to stay within the parks before because of no air conditioning. I was sure (as was Patricia R from Miami) that this national park hotel advertised air conditioning on their website back...More

I would do it all yourself. Why pay and be with all the other people? From Wuksachi...General Sherman Tree and Congress Trail is a mere 10 minute car ride, Moro Rock you park at the museum which is 12 to 15 minutes and take a free shuttle, from there it is another free 10 minute shuttle to Crescent Meadow and Tharp's Log and other hiking trails. The cost is free! You are very close to all the main attractions. If you are going to see Kings Canyon see that's on the way in or going out so not worth going to Sequoia and backtracking 30 miles to there..on the way out to Fresno
