The view of Lake Crescent is the best part of the Log Cabin (Last) Resort, but was not enough to keep us here for the night. Cabin #5 is disgusting! I am a seasoned traveler to NPS properties and this is the worst place I have ever encountered. The entrance door only opened halfway, no curtain above the toilet so... More

We assumed that if the National Park allowed a lodge to be within the park- it would have a certain standard and pricing- We had booked three days but on arrival we knew we could not stya there for that long..The A frame we stayed in was poorly maintained and not even worth going into each detail of how they... Admittedly we went for the lodge rooms - I believe there are only 3 and although old and dated, are very clean and spacious. The cabins sound a bit old and musty but we really enjoyed our lodge room. It opens right on to the lake and the views are incredible. We found the restaurant to be very good -... More

I was looking for a place to stay in Olympic National Park to use as a base for day-hiking. I was booking a bit late, and the much nicer Crescent Lake Lodge (I've stayed here too) was unavailable. So, I tried the Log Cabin Resort ("Log Cabin") The Log Cabin has a variety of motel-type rooms, cabins, and a campground.... More

The setting for this property was beautifu, but like all too many of our national parks, the accommodations were in poor shape. With all the accommodation experts in the U.S. you'd think the visitors to the national parks would be better served. It's such a black eye for the U.S. The room was large, old, over-priced, not kept up. The... More

We just came back from 1 week at the Log Cabin Resort in the Olympic National Park. The location of the resort is the only thing that this place has going for it. Everyone working at the resort is warm, friendly, and helpful, but it appears that no one really seems to care about the property. The description of the... More

Restaurant is clearly uninviting. We and other guests wandered the empty dining room around one PM. No signs or staff told us that lunch was not served. The desk clerk pointed to a "deli" in another room that offered 3 or 4 ready made sandwiches. We bought beers and a bag of chips. We sat outside on chairs with a... More

Just stayed 2 nights at an A frame chalet. Location is wonderful! About 30 feet from the Crescent Lake whose colors never cease to amaze any time of the day. That is important to me and I'm ready to give 3 stars on that basis. Yes, unit is stuffy but airs out quickly by leaving the doors open. Everything else... More

The scenery is spectacular Right on Crescent Lake. But....when I walked into the room around 5 PM, I was hit with a blast of hot, moldy air. I threw open the doors and windows. No screens on the doors and only one window had a screen and it did not fit the window, so it leaned precariously out of the... More

We weren't expecting a four star resort or anything but for the price we paid for a two bed cabin, we expected a little bit more than we received. The cabin was old and dirty. The windows and walls mostly didn't sit flush so it was freezing in there and buggy. I understand "rustic" means little amenity but I expected... More
