The campground is very well kept and clean. The Rangers are very friendly and helpful! We visited over spring break, so the campground was not very full, which made for a very relaxing and peaceful trip!

Beautiful campground, but only two sites have electricity and you will have to cough up fifty bucks to enjoy that privilege. However there is no fee to enter the park. The biking and hiking trails are great. It's rare not to see a few does grazing by the parkway. PLEASE DON'T FEED THEM!

Nice spots mostly not very large...two spots have full hook ups on a first come first served basis. The woods are lovely with many trails and bike paths. Lots to do within walking distance from you campsite. Each spot has a table and campfire set up.

The Park Rangers are professional, knowledgible and friendly. The trails are clean and wildlife and nature abounds. A doe actually came over to my grandson and he fed him an apple. The deer stayed for the whole thing. Several cave tours to choose from. Need to make reservations depending on the season. Easy check in at the office and the...

I visited Mammoth Cave in June with a group of 4 friends and we found the weekend to be a lot of fun. We reserved a campground on a Friday night on short notice, but had to wake up on Saturday morning to grab a first come first served campsite because no reservations were available when we booked. The move...

August weekend visit with my teen girls. We stayed at #65 in our tent, a flat site backing to woods. A recommended site for its greater privacy. I like this campground for its cleanliness and family environment. It has been loud in the past but not this weekend - quiet by 10 pm!

This ranking is for the tent camping only, not the park itself (hiking through the park it was crazy beautiful). Tent camped here two nights (three days) mid July. Sites were only ok in my opinion, and nothing special. Pretty loud (as others have noted) with generators all hours (rv camping mixed with tents), and camp sites themselves sloped, uneven....

Stayed recently in A loop (apparently a tent only option). Decent level site with gravel pad. Convenient to restroom. Showers are $3 at service center. No issues with noise as others have noted, but only surrounded by tent campers (no RVs). Don't believe they offer hookups anywhere for RVers. Beware that the picnic tables cannot be moved- make sure you...

It's hard to give this campground a high mark. Yes the sites are lovely, yes the campground is close to the caves, yes the amenities are nice, but...the noise is incredible. Quiet hours end at 6:00 am and at 6:01 the generators fire up and they don't quit until 10 pm. If you want a peaceful camping experience, go somewhere...

We were completely excited about this trip, and everything we imagined about the park was on target!  Check-in was easy and friendly, and we were encouraged to drive around and pick out the camp spot that would work best for us… the only problem?... they were ALL GREAT!!!  It was tough choosing which one!!  All had wonderful tree coverage for...

“When I booked, I wanted a group site but they were sold out. So we took other sites in the "group loop". If we go again, I'd look for a site away from the first loop, so it'd have more privacy from the road.”
