We are on a long road trip visiting several National Parks and we are so glad we stayed in these adorable cabins right in Lassen Volcanic National Park! We were able to explore the park from one end to the other and were able to stay right there! All you need is your sleeping bags and pillows! There are bathrooms... More

We have camped here before and have always been very satisfied. The issue I had this time was with the showers and the store. Two of the 5 showers were out of order and they were not particularly clean. I would think in the middle of July things should be in good working order. I understand that people are dirty... More

We love Lassen Volcanic National Park, but usually just spend a few hours driving through. We wanted to spend more time in the park, and this is the only lodging in the park. The cabins are basic but functional. The chairs are pretty bad - had wooden slats make the rear get sore very quickly! Bring a seat cushion or... More

Beautiful, idyllic... etc. BEWARE: the "bunk beds" are sandwiched between 2 walls at the head and foot of the bed. I am 5'9" and I could not even straighten my legs, so I woke with lots of back/leg pain after bashing my head on the wall a few times during the night. Pain sure makes it hard to enjoy this... More

I’d read a lot about the beauty of the Lassen Volcanic National Park and heard it was a hidden gem in Northern California that didn’t figure into the travel plans of most international visitors making it somewhat less crowded and more of a local stomping ground. We were already driving south from Oregon on Highway 89 (a national scenic byway... More

Thinking it was going to be cold - we decided to get a cabin over traditional camping. We got a double bed for two persons; there was also a table with two chairs, and a porch with two chairs. The cabin also had a parking space, a bear box, and a fire ring. We checked in at the camp store... More

I had turned up in Lassen with no accommodation booked and the 3 nearest hotels all full. I happened to read about the cabins in some information I picked up and thought I'd ask in case one was free (accepting that this might be a very silly question). The lady in the store was great - seemed to think it... More

Bautiful cabins, clean, cheap, why wouldn't you stay here? The campground itself is beautiful with tall pine trees that smell amazing. They even had firewood! Showers were totally gross so we did not use them. 2 out of the 4 were out of order. Laundry was OK but change machine broken. Can get loud in the campground at night, they... More

It is beautiful, clean and easy for an overnight in nature. The cabins are perfectly constructed and are as nice as they were on our last visit 3 years ago. You can get anything you forgot at the well stocked camp store (read:not a lot of junk, things one would actually buy at home)and rent watercraft for the lake. There... More
