WOW....was blessed to spend 3 nights at the lodge. From the moment we landed, everything exceeded my expectations!! Ryan & Heather manage this property which is COMPLETELY surrounded by a National Park. While we did have some day trip folks in, this place was the right combination of wilderness and comfort. I stayed in a 2 person cabin and while... More

Great day in Alaska. Flew in with Rusts flying service and used the boats and guides at lodge for all day bear watching. Served hot lunch at lodge which was delicious. We want to go back and stay for at least 2 days! Looks very nice and guides were great.

Talk about 'heaven on earth'. This place is far from everything and is a wilderness adventure, but it is so much more. From the amazing food that Heather prepares, to the knowledgable guides ( Kit was awesome), I was given the ultimate experience in luxury. Kit was extremely patient and kind with me as I had not fished before, and... More

Had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at Redoubt Lodge. What a beautiful location ... exactly what the image in my head is of how Alaska should look: a turquoise lake with a hanging glacier at one end and an active volcano (sorry, no lava, but last eruption was 2009) at the other end, and a scenic winding river draining... We couldn't decide whether to do one of the day trips from Anchorage to see bears or spend a few days at a lodge. We don't fish, but enjoy the outdoors and wildlife. We decided on 2 days at Redoubt. While happy with the lodge, in retrospect we probably would have been just as happy with a day trip here.... More

Glad to hear you enjoyed your first visit to Redoubt Mountain Lodge. The isolated location, peaceful setting & amazing scenery is quite special. Great to hear the food exceeded your expectations; accommodating your wife's gluten allergy was no problem. Being a true “fly in” location does create extra preparation; however, we like to anticipate all the creature comforts for our... More

Great place! Ryan and Heather were wonderful hosts. Hope to go back someday. Loved everything about it! The salmon had just started to run but even if there were no fish or bears we still fished and had a wonderful time. It was so much fun taking a float plane to get there and Heathers cooking was superb!!!

Planning a fishing trip to Alaska can be a daunting exercise, especially if you've never been there and are traveling from the east coast. As much research as you do there are always lingering questions; will the on-line reviews and website match our experience, are our expectations in line with what will unfold once there, is this the right place... wow! not sure where to go. Ryan and crew are awesome and all hard working folks. Meals and ladies in Lodge are spectacular. Bear sightings, all day long!........and the Sockeye, forget about it (too many to count) at 8 on 7/25, we had a tasty full breakfast in the lodge served to us by the staff. By 9 we were... More

From the moment my husband and I arrived (after a stunning float plane ride), we must have said, "I don't believe this!" 100 times. The scenery alone is indescribable. I definitely felt closer to heaven and earth at RML. Heather and Ryan are most gracious, with high expectations of their staff. And the staff delivered! From the servers to the... More

Lake Clark N.P. is the 6th largest park in the National Park system and the second least visited. There are many reviews of Silver Salmon Creek Lodge and Redoubt Mountain Lodge in that park, but no reviews from folks who have stayed at both of them. We visited Silver Salmon in 2011 and Redoubt in September 2014. Both trips were... More
