After we were “weathered out” 2 years ago, we were finally able to spend 2 wonderful nights at the Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge. It was everything I had hoped it would be even though the smoke from the Swan Lake fire blocked our view for the first day and a half. Our cabin was wonderful with 3 beds, a back porch with a great view and rocking chairs. It was just a very short walk from the main lodge. It was so beautiful, peaceful and away from all the busy tourist areas. The meals in the lodge were delicious and they took special care with dietary issues. Dinners were served family style and lunches were soup and “make your own” sandwiches that were served buffet style. We had wonderful guides and went on activities with Alex a few times and really enjoyed his company. Everyone who works there does their best to make sure you have an awesome time, and we did! I really hope a return trip is in our future, I loved it there!

I am not one to give over the top reviews, but WOW this place is incredible. Starting with the wildlife boat rife out there where you can see whales, otters, sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles etc. Once you arrive you will immediately be struck by how stunning and welcoming the property is, but it is also intensely peaceful and very well apportioned. Time slows down here and we all felt deeply appreciative that we were able to experience a truly unique and magical place. The guided activities are fantastic and accessible for all skill levels, staff clearly love the area and are incredibly knowledgeable. Professional chefs insure the food is delicious, and where else can you drink a margarita with glacier ice?!!! There is no need to rough it here! I highly recommend spending at least three days and 2 night there so you can fit in all the activities that you desire as there is a lot to choose from-- I would have stayed even longer! This place has left a permanent mark in our hearts and we are better for having had this experience. Truly the highlight of our time in Alaska.

A boat trip to this national park is a great way to see all that nature has to offer in the Kenai Fjords. We saw seals, Orcas, otters, puffins, and many other birds... not to mention the gigantic glaciers. It was truly a magical experience.

After 4 hours of fascinating boat tour, we arrived at the strand close to the Lodge. Just a short walk and then......you are there, surrounded with Rainforest and a breath taking view over the Lake. Nature, Guides, Food, Cabins and the Weather :-) - everything was excellent. We had 3 nights one more would be perfect.
