Watching the sunset over the Grand Tetons with the rays fading to gorgeous oranges, pinks, and purples while sparkling off the Lake was an amazing experience. We stayed in an upper lakefront retreat and the views from the deck were incredible. The room has everything we needed, was clean and spacious. We love this location and will stay here again and again.
We booked our stay last minute thanks to cancellations and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, easy checking in and out despite the pandemic. We stayed in two different cabins, both well maintained and thoroughly clean and sanitized. Last night there we had the chance to have a lake front cabin with the best views of the lake and The Tetons: Sunset and sunrise were incredibly beautiful! Place is family friendly. We liked it so much that we are already booked for 2021 :)
Husband and I stayed 3 nights in what they call an upper lakefront retreat unit in early Oct 2020. Our room was very nice and very clean, the area around the door inside the unit had spider webs but this is supposed to be a lakefront cabin feel after all. I got worried when I saw the signage in the room about keeping door shut to keep animals out and warning about hantavirus...then I realized there are chipmunks everywhere on the balcony which did not bother me. The outside balcony is shared w/ a small gate to neighbors, that I was not expecting, but the balcony was very big. Our room was a min drive to the convenience store for coffee in the morning and other groceries. We rented a canoe one afternoon from the marina office. Word if you're going to rent a canoe, that lake is super clear and deep right off shore, make sure you're comfortable in a kayak w/ motor boats passing by in extremely deep water. The island they tell you that you can visit on the canoe is a lot farther than it looks! The view of the lake was super nice from the room. Parked right behind the unit w/ no issues. We did not find the drive from here to other notable sights in the park very long. Didn't see any animals nearby except deer. Overall we had a very pleasant stay but given lack of amenities this year, I'm not sure it warrants the outrageous price tag. In addition, the prices in the convenience store (only place on site to get food, lite groceries, coffee or snacks) were absolutely insane. I paid $5 for a small "ok" blueberry muffin for breakfast not including coffee. They have "enhanced" grab and go options since the restaurant is closed, "enhanced" means sandwiches and salads, and boy do you pay dear for for what you get , over $10 for what is essentially a subway sandwich, were soggy by the time we got them. Plan ahead, get a unit w/ a fridge and stove top, buy some groceries in Jackson, you wont save money since those are the most expensive units but at least you'll have something to your liking to eat, it's a long drive to Jackson for dinner. The coffee they sell in the convenience store is also the same local brand provided in the room to use w/ coffee maker, tasted fine to us.…
Great customer service. That was on top of the amazing facilities and location. Highly recommended. Their customer outreach started even before we arrived. Had the view of the entire Milky Way from outside our room. Woke up to see the beautiful mountains and Jackson lake and a family of Elk grazing out side our front patio.
One of the most convenient places to stay when you are visiting Grand Teton, but want to avoid the congestion of Jackson. It would have gotten 5 stars if the dining facility was open. Jackson is a bit if a haul to go out for a meal.
