This lodge was built a long time ago but has been kept up nicely. The rooms are very adequate but don't expect things like an elevator or lobby. The parking is the worst thing. It took me most of the day to get the car close by. If you choose to stay here do it for the proximity to the...

We booked at Kachina Lodge as we wanted to be in the park. I am giving three stars because if view otherwise it would be much lower. No elevator-- this was ok for us as we could drag bags to second floor easily but I can imagine a family or older person. The place smells weird. Not sure what it...

While it wasn't a five star resort, the Kachina Lodge was a fine room for our two night stay. You aren't paying for a fancy place to sleep- you are paying to stay a few steps from the rim of the Grand Canyon! I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were basic and dated but you are definitely paying to be steps away from the canyon! We were able to wake up to watch the sunrise and we also watched the sunset. Great experience. I would stay here again.

An older hotel, but they have tried to make is as nice as possible for the old structure. The "partial canyon view" room was clean and comfortable, but the view was Grand and more than we anticipated.! Expect a simple older room and enjoy the view. Pay the extra and get the VIEW room, ask for the second floor. The...

drove all the way around the 1 way loop before I realized that I needed to check in at El Tovar: so don't miss the first right turn into the turn around for El Tovar. then back onto the street for the next driveway for Kachina. During the day, it's a short walk on the sidewalk but when we arrived...

The lodge was pretty ho-hum - boxy cinder-block style building. Fresh paint in our room upstairs, but downstairs room was disappointing. You check in at El Tovar next door, which has some old-style lodge-y atmosphere. Nowhere for a group to gather at Kachina, we took our snacks and wine to El Tovar and sat in the great room listening to...

Not our usual type of hotel but it was clean and the beds comfortable. Pillows were flat. It is right at the GC rim and close to all. I would request a canyon view next time. Coffee was surprising good in the room Kuerig.

It is just a lodge, so the actual Kachina Lodge is just rooms. Other restaurants and stores are very close. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom had good water pressure and heat. Its nice not having to drive far once you have walked around all day to go back to a hotel. That was the best part about...

We hesitated when booking this because we were on a road trip of America and it was one of the most expensive places we booked. But it was very worth it! If you are going to the Grand Canyon - a once in a lifetime trip for most - we don't know why you would stay outside of the park...
