Kachina Lodge sits right on the rim of the Grand Canyon and its important to remember this when you stay there otherwise you could be a little disappointed with your room. Although our room was clean it smelled of smoke and we had to call Reception to make them aware. Staff were great, the room was thoroughly cleaned and aired... More

Kachina Lodge is right next to the historic El Tovar hotel. If you want to wake up and be able to see part of the canyon right from your window, this is the place and that is if you book the canyon side room (although some may have obstructed view). Our room was on the first floor which was only... More

We arrived just after check-in time and were lucky enough to get a parking space right outside the building. I had booked a room with a partial canyon view as soon as it became available and we were not disappointed with our view. It was just incredible! The room was a decent size and very clean. My husband made extensive... More

My three teenage sons and I stayed at Kachina as part of a group tour. The hotel room was perfectly fine. Don't go in expecting a five star hotel. Do go in expecting that your room will have an unbelievable setting just steps away from the rim of the Grand Canyon. Our faced the canyon. We ate our meals at... More

This lodge is a great place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. The location is wonderful. Yes, it looks somewhat like a college dorm, but you don't look at the building, you look at the canyon. Bathrooms have been updated and are clean. Rooms are adequate. We had a king bed. Bed was comfortable, pillows not so much. Room... More

We stayed here for one night the night before hiking R2R2R. The room was decently clean. One of the pillow cases had some sort of stain on it. The toilet paper holder was broken. The bathroom seemed clean otherwise, which is a plus. They do supply toiletries, which is good to know for the future. We liked that they provided... More

Can't believe the relatively low price for the location, even on a peak holiday weekend. Good restaurants and shops a short walk away. Rooms were basic, but clean and adequate. Convenient location on the rim to hiking trails. Hint - if you are booking on a peak holiday weekend and online reservations show no vacancies, then call. If, still no... More

We stayed at Kachina Lodge for two nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom in our room was renovated recently and it was very nice. The brand of soaps and lotion in the room were wonderful. The room was clean and had a Keurig coffee machine. Also there was a nice refrigerator and safe in the room. It... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Kachina Lodge. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location can't be beat. The room was clean and in good working order. We appreciated the refrigerator and the Keurig coffee machine in the room. We only had to travel 60 seconds to see sun rise and sun set over the breathtaking Grand Canyon.

Our family visited the Grand Canyon in the summer of 2015 (finally getting around to our reviews). I made our reservation about 10 months ahead of our visit and literally booked the last available room within the Grand Canyon park limits. I would chose this location again (just to stay at the Grand Canyon), but only as a last resort... More
