Fantastic! This trip didn't feel like we were renting a cabin. It felt like we were visiting friends! The family is so welcoming and accommodating! Breakfast was outstanding. The lodge (their house) was a great place for our family of six adults to hang out. Cabins were rustic, but comfortable. We fed some grain to the horses, watched Bill and Dusty practice some bull roping for an upcoming event, gave their two dogs some loving, and went on a horseback ride with a packed lunch to eat with a beautiful view. We got hit with a storm while hiking one day, and they offered the use of their washer and dryer. Dusty mentioned the Blue Moon rodeo in Columbia Falls, so we went! Fun time! The location of the ranch is a good spot if you want to explore Glacier Park from both ends, because they are about an equal distance from the West and East entrances. Many Glacier is about a half hour past the East entrance. I had read that there is Uber out there, but thanks to their recommendation, we rented a much needed minivan. So glad we touched base before we left! Thank you all for a fantastic stay, and good luck to Dusty and Indi with the new house!

Bear Creek Ranch returns the traveler from the faux West that has sprung up around Glacier National Park to the real Montana. Nestled between Glacier and the Flathead National Forest, Bear Creek offers simple, comfortable cabins set in the gorgeous Bear Creek Valley. Guests are free to wander the property, look at the horses, fish in the creek, and relax in the Main Lodge, playing pool, perusing their extensive library, or visiting with the family that operates the ranch (and their two dogs, Diesel and Dixie). The ranch is quiet and peaceful, a refuge from the intensity of modern life.
Bill, Diane, Dusty, and Indy are excellent hosts. Our trip was more like visiting interesting family than staying at a hotel. Diane and Indy cooked a fabulous breakfast each morning that exceeded the quality of any of the nearby restaurants. And our horseback riding adventure with Bill and John took us deep into parts of the high prairie east of Glacier that no other travelers ever get to see. Although only our daughter is a seasoned equestrian, Bill and John were able to help the rest of us have an excellent ride, including forwarding a river several times and seeing two grizzly bears.
For those looking for a taste of the real West, you cannot do better than Bear Creek Guest Ranch. We plan to return and stay again, hopefully soon. Until then, we will be jealous of all of you who get to visit.

My friend and I had the most amazing time at the Bear Creek Ranch. The cabins are quaint and clean; very rustic. The entire ranch is set against a backdrop of the beautiful mountains and everywhere you look there are wildflowers blooming. The horses are all healthy and gorgeous; most well-trained to accommodate someone with little or no riding experience. We went on a cattle drive which was epic!! It was so fun and the scenery was unbelievable! Fly fishing highly recommended as well! The hosts: Bill, Diana, Dusty and Indi, were so helpful and kind; always available to answer questions or lend you a pair of boots! The breakfasts were yummy and Diana always considered my vegetarianism to ensure that I had a great breakfast too. There are two adorable dogs, Dixie and Diesel, to liven things up a bit more. I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was! I will be visiting again. Highly recommended!!!

We chose the Fall Horseback In Glacier Country trip to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. From the moment we arrived at the ranch we felt as though we were visiting family and friends. Diana and Indi prepared amazing meals that far exceeded our expectations while accommodating my dietary restrictions. Bill and Dusty were spot on matching horse to rider, their knowledge on the trail made it a fun learning experience as well. The opportunity to ride the Blackfeet Indian reservation with John sharing “stories” was truly a privilege and honor. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better it did, Bear Creek Guest Ranch sure delivered!!

My daughters (ages 11 and 12) were in love with the ranch from the minute they stepped out of the car the first day to the end of the trip. Bill and Diana are extremely gracious hosts and made us feel like we were family visiting for the week. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful every single morning. Bill and John were patient guides on the trail rides and the views on the rides were breathtaking. Ranch is perfectly situated with a close drive to Glacier National Park and local attractions but just far enough away that you feel insulated from the heavy crowds in GNP during the summer. With no TV or cell service, it offers the entire family an opportunity to unplug and truly enjoy the outdoors and the company of those around you.

Visiting Bear Creek was a dream come true!!!! We were welcomed by the kindest people who really made the experience memorable and the ranch feel like home! We enjoyed a clean cozy cabin stay and an incredible breakfast each morning! The horseback ride was the perfect mix of adventurous and laid back while getting to see gorgeous views of mountains, wildlife, rivers and woods! The horses were so sweet and well trained! If you are visiting glacier national park or just want the greatest dude ranch experience possible with the best hosts, this is the place to stay and ride. We cannot wait to visit Bear Creek again some day!

Our stay at Bear Creek was one of the highlights of our trip out west. We spent six nights there and wished we could have stayed longer. We did two all day horse rides which were amazing and it was convenient for us to visit East Glacier the other days. Bill, Diana, Dusty, and Indiana made us feel so welcome and at home. They were never to busy for a chat and we really enjoyed visiting with them. We also really enjoyed getting together with the other guests. The breakfasts were outstanding and very filling and when we had to leave early they even made breakfast for us to take along. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cabin which was very cute and we had plenty of room. Even if you don’t ride horses this is a wonderful base for a visit to East Glacier.

This was an exceptional stay. Staying at Bear Creek was like staying with friends. We all ate some amazing meals together and visited and hung out before and after meals. The cabins were cozy and comfortable. Dusty, Indi, Bill and Diana could not have been better hosts. John and Daniel were exceptional in helping us prepare for our horse rides and sharing stories from their perspective as members of the Blackfoot Nation.

A wonderful warm welcome awaits you at this lodge from the owners and their two gorgeous St Bernard dogs - Dixie and Deisel. If you miss your own dog, come here for some substitute dog cuddles. The main lodge and cabins are built of logs and beautifully decorated. They are warm and welcoming with all you need. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious
