Several blue and white school buses from the North Face Lodge picked us up from the rail depot, close to the base entrance to the park. Our driver's name was Simon who provided us with an informative enthusiastic and inspiring narration about the local wildlife, scenery and history of the national park. We arrived at the NorthFace lodge to a...

After weeks in different parts of Alaska we finished our travels with three days at the North Face Lodge. From the moment we got onto the bus with our knowledgeable and friendly guide/driver who guided us safely the 90 miles to the Lodge, we knew we were in for something special. Arrival at 7 p.m. to a delicious, healthy, tasty...

we received a call the night before our arrival saying that the normal dinner pcinic on the ride in would not be possible as a landslide had occurred on the road - and they didn't have time to get through the road opening and still do the picnic.......oh well.....it is what it is! seems the weather has been pretty sketchy...

What a wonderful way to "camp" in Denali National Park! The mostly locally sourced food amazing and the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable--they managed to supply beautiful weather, views of Denali as well as caribou, moose, sheep, bear and wolf sightings.

First Class 'Wilderness' accommodations. Knowledgeable guides, hosts and team are there to assist to make your visit special. They have loaner gear for those staying here...bikes, daypacks, rain gear, fishing gear are all available. Guided hikes of three levels are offered daily, or just do your own thing. Fantastic view of Denali from right out your window.

The lodge is one of only 4 accommodation places at the end of the road into Denali National Park. It has small ensuite rooms, most with twin beds, opening onto a covered verandah - but the rooms are not the reason for staying at North Face Lodge! Apart from great views of Denali from your doorstep, the lodge has excellent...

This was an unparalleled experience. From the bus ride into the park and the lodge, with a stop along the way for a most delicious gourmet meal spread out between 2 buses, to the welcoming greeting by the staff as we arrived at the lodge. Our room was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the living room area adjacent to the...

This is the premier place to stay at Denali National Park. Starting with the bus ride into the lodge -- the most remote of the lodges -- the experience was amazing. Our caravan of three buses stopped for interesting things along the way. One highlight was the biggest herd of hundreds of caribou straddling the road that I ever hope...

We decided to splurge and treat ourselves to a three night stay at the North Face Lodge. It was not an easy decision, since the cost for this three night stay is about what we would normally spend for a full week of travel. I can say without a doubt, that North Face Lodge is well worth the expense. It...

We stayed four nights at this unique lodge. The setting in Denali NP is quiet and peaceful. The staff is what makes this lodge unique. They are so happy and upbeat. They behave as if they are one big family and they treat the guests the same. The number of guests is small and everyone gets to know each other...
