First time staying at Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley. Rooms were basic but nice enough in a NPS service style. Loved the patio with rocking chairs and the gas fire pits out on the lawns for the cool evenings. The area around the pool has been redone but the pool itself could use a little maintenance. But the spring... More

We stayed in our trailer at the furnace creek resort RV park as we thought it was the only place to camp with hookups. The space was very small, the hookups about 10 to 15 feet behind the unit. We talked to quite a few people who had to go to the store to buy extensions (which the store amazingly... More

My friend and I stayed overnight at the Furnace Creek Ranch. The cost for a simple room with two queen beds and a bath plus small refrigerator was $247. I get that there are only two places to stay in the Furnace Creek area if you are not camping so we expected it to be pricey. We also expected reasonably... More

Unless you want to camp (or you have an RV), the Furnace Creek Resort is one of two places to stay in the Furnace Creek area of DV National Park. We were first here in the 1980s. Not much has changed. Room was adequate; bed comfortable, and room temperature fine. There are three restaurants, a swimming pool, horseback riding, and... More

CAMP STORE REVIEW ONLY This review is for the camp store run by Xterra. Overpriced: $9.00 for sandwiches, $5.99 licorice, candy bars $1.59 for little ones, approx. 3-4 oz., and cigarettes are $30.00 a pack. I don't smoke but give you the price for an example of price gouging. They do not offer a bathroom; however, they will let you... More

Stayed at RV site with full hook up. Sites are not huge but adequate, we have a 24 ft trailer. Very quite, warm. Nice showers, pool and laundry, internet and General store . Great location for side trips in the park. Note, no cell phone reception and no cable TV. We did not miss them, absence enhanced our time.

To call this place a campground is inaccurate. It is actually a parking lot where you rent a space for $18. It's a small parking lot, jammed together. No trees. No fire pit. No privacy. We could hear a Russian guy watching YouTube all night that is how close the tents are together. Avoid at all costs!!

After a long hard day out in the valley, the sites and sounds of Furnace Creek are a welcome site. The resort has an outdoor natural heated pool, golf course and many activities to keep you entertained. Expect amenities to keep comfortable. Don't expect the TajMahal. This is one of the best resorts in the valley. Highly recommend .

My brother and I stayed at furnace creek resort for two nights while hiking through death Valley national park over Thanksgiving week. The rooms are OK. There's clearly a premium on the price you pay just because they are one of the few lodgings within the park. Expected a lot more for a place where you pay close to $300... More
