My wife and I stayed at the Furnace Creek November 2012 during the 49ers stay. Read our previous review for a detailed description of the amenities - as it was exactly the same and of the same consistency. Great. Unpretentious. Comfortable. The rooms are clean and working - the soaps and shampoos are so good, they sell them in the... More

I really enjoyed the experience of this stay. It truly is ranch style, a bit rough round the edges but one cannot expect a luxury hotel in the middle of Death Valley. The temperature surely was like a furnace but thankfully the air conditioning in the room worked well! Enjoyed a swim in the swimming pool which was more akin... More

My wife and I stayed for 1 night to see Death Valley in September 2013. Our room was in one of the furthermost blocks on the 2nd floor. If you are placed in a similar room and cannot carry the luggage yourself, make sure that you ask for assistance. Also a torch is useful as the lighting is poor when... More

It had been my goal for some time to spend a night or two in Death Valley. It finally happened. I wanted to get some sunup/sundown photos, but that didn't develop. We stayed at the Furnace Creek Ranch. Single story room. We had our own patio overlooking some green grass and the swimming complex. There is golf, a large pool,... More

We stayed at the "ranch," in a deluxe room. Not sure why it was deluxe other than than it was a one story building. It was very clean but really nothing more than a good motel room. The pool was lovely. The hotel was situated near enough important areas of the park that we were able to take full advantage... More

We had one night here going from Yosemite to Las Vegas. Its a long drive and we were delayed by roadworks in the middle of the desert, so didn't get to use the pool. We had a nice meal in the Old 49er restaurant. This is busy and looks fairly basic but the food is good and plentiful, just what... More

We stopped here overnight as we drove from Grand Canyon South Rim to Yosemite. Exiting the cool air conditioned car stepping out to a blistering 117 degree F (47c) came as a bit of a shock. However much to our delight our rooms were beautifully air conditioned & icy cold to greet us soon as we opened the door. The... More

We had 1 night here en route to Las Vegas. The drive across the National Park is something I would recommend to everyone, a truly memorable experience. I didn't expect too much from the hotel given its remote location, it was a stop off and on that basis it ticks the important boxes - clean, wholesome food and cold beer.... More

A great ranch that provides you with everything you need for the quick pit stop or a long stay. The spring fed pool was lovely and warm and the restaurant (albeit a little pricey as not much competition) served good home style food. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Service was excellent by all the staff. Fantastic location for... More

We appreciated the very efficient check in and lovely cool rooms that awaited us. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was interesting, mainly because of how hot it was,but a sign in our rooms advising us to take our own towels would have been good. We had dinner in the wrangler buffet. Very tast and the staff extremely friendly... More
