We scouted a site ahead and I managed to get a 45' diesel pusher in there and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Backed it right up close to the edge of the draw. We had plenty of room with tons of space between campsites. We barely...More

We stayed here the week of april 10th, spring break for many. We arrived sunday afternoon around 4pm and had a great choice of first-come sites. The campground is about an hour from most sites in the park, but the campsites are much more spacious...More

Located at the north end of Death Valley, this first come first served campground has only about 30 sites and can fill up early depending on time of year. It is close to Scotty's Castle, which is closed right now (2017) for a multi year...More

Smaller campground for those willing to go the extra distance. Quiet and good jumping off point for northern Death Valley attractions. Note, Scotty's Castle, and road, closed until major repairs after floodlng.

G'day. Great review on the campsite. Was wondering if there is cellphone reception at the campsite or nearby and how far is the nearest gas station. Thank you :)

There is no cell phone reception, but there is a pay phone a few miles away at the unmanned ranger station near Scotty's Castle. The closest gas station is about 25 miles away at Stovepipe Wells.

You cannot make reservations at this campground. It is open all year, and it is first come, first serve.
