This was a good camp for our small travel trailer; the site was just a pull off on the loop road, it was fairly level and there was an electrical hook up. WE only stayed one night, not much else to say. The shower houses are sorely in need of renovation and more importantly cle

We camped one night here and there was an evening star gazing event at 9PM just not far away from the campground. We saw three bright planets through a telescope and Saturn was amazing that night. The astronomer/paleontologist guy told us many stories about the stars and the sky

We spent a night at Sage Cr Campground and then got to Cedar Pass at about 11:00 the next day. The website indicated that reservations were only possible at the group site so we got there early to ensure we got a site. The directions at the front gate were typical: find an open

Camping in Badlands NP is, by far, the best way to experience all the park has to offer. My husband and I have been planning this short trip for a few years and booked our reservations two months in advance to make sure we had a spot for Labor Day Weekend. We arrived early evenin

This was a great campground on the east side of the park where most of the main attractions are. The campground has potable water, showers and a sink for dishes. Each site was nice and flat, had a covered picnic table and was close to shower house and water fountains. My wife and

how do we make reservations for this campground
I was able to make reservations by visiting the badlands national park website, you could do it online or over the phone.

We are planning a 4-5 night trip to this campground for some hiking. Which RV site did you have and which do you recommend for an extended stay. We have a 34' bumper pull. Also is the sewer dump and water close. We do have a Sewer tote we bring with. Would love some good views while drinking coffee under our awning in the mornings! THANKS in advance! Andy and Kathy
We're just passing through from Montana via I90 West, should we prepare to pay entrance to the Badlands National Park to camp here or can we just camp and pack up and be on our way the following morning? Thanks in advance!
So many of the reviews mention untidy and even inadequate shower facilities (lack of hot water, dirty quarters,no towel hooks). Have these issues been addressed? They are important aspects of travel when we live in our motor home most of the year and we'd like to be reassured that someone is listening and responding to these comments. Thanks AE
Ticks in spring? I'm wondering about the tick situation in early to mid-April. Are ticks an issue in this location? I am reading near the Grassland ticks and fleas can be an issue because of the prairie dogs nearby. Thank you for the help.
"This is a campground! No rooms to select!"
"Call the phone number and get a reservation. It is not listed with recreation.gov."
"book your tent site early so you aren't near campers which can be noisy!"
"All sites are similar. Those in tents might prefer sites that are close to the toilet facilities."
"WiFi is better the closer you get to the main office"
