Pro-Nice ,clean private sides, clean toilets, excellent location-only 10 km from beautiful Bar Harbor. Nice service.Quite at night Con-no shower on campground,no hot water in washrooms, no soap. Very narrow access to ocean, very sloppy.. To expensive for limited service.

We stayed here for 5 nights. We booked well in advance, and it was good that we did because it was full. The sites are a decent size. Our first night was tough, because our neighbors were loud all night long and we could not get them to be quiet. After they left, we did not have that problem again.... More

Highly recommended. Our family stayed there for 3 nights while visiting Acadia National Park. Definitely reserve your spot well in advance (!) as it is a popular destination. Sites have lots of space and are located a decent distance from neighbours. Loads of nearby hiking trails - Cadillac Mountain South Ridge Trail begins at Campground Loop B. Also, Loop A... More

We spent two weeks here and all was fantastic. We asked if we could change sites after the first two days because I tripped a few times on the big tree roots And they asked which site would we like to change to and they were so nice about it all. We walked around the entire campground, loop A and... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. Campground sign said it was full, but we did notice a few empty sites. Sites are spread out nicely with trees between. For being full, it was very quiet. Take advantage of the free shuttle bus to get you around the park and downtown. Free firewood onsite. Note if tenting sites are not grassy, most... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in the A loop the first week of July 2016. The campground is beautiful with lots of trees and shade. The bathrooms were clean. It is a family campground and quiet hours are enforced, which we liked. The shuttle is easy and convenient. The people working there were very nice. It is close to... More

We spent 5 nights at Blackwoods and loved it! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The free shuttles were easy to use for trips to town or across the island for hiking. Our site was beautiful, but was a bit tough to get into with our 25 foot trailer. The restrooms were very clean and close with flush toilets and... More

Nice campground. The sites were relatively large and separated from others by trees. The restrooms were very clean. There is a nice short trail to an ocean overlook, and the Quarry trail that starts here is nice by itself or can be used to connect to the Gorham Mountain trail or others. No showers or camp store, though coin showers... More

My husband and I stayed on the B loop from June 13th-17th and had a fantastic stay. The campground is really pretty and wooded, and there was plenty of space between us and the other campsites around us. It was nice and quiet although most of the sites were full while we were there. Bathrooms are large and kept really... More

We greatly enjoyed our time in Acadia. The Blackwood's campground is very close to some great hiking trails, like Beehive and Cadillac Mountain. The campground was very clean and quiet, had restrooms and a free armload of firewood a day. It was also less than a mile away from the shower facility. The site was spacious and fit our tents,...
