This hotel is where we have stayed every September. We meet the same guests who have become good friends. Angelos, Mary, Corina and Manny look after us. Nothing is too much trouble. We are collected from the airport and we book a car rental through Angelos (a car is important unless you want to walk locally or spend the time around the pool). The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are excellent with walk in shower in the spacious bathrooms. Every room has a sea view from the balcony. The food is cooked to order by Mary and she can cater for all guests’ requirements. Corina runs the bar and there is a wide range of beers served in ice cold glasses or a choice of cocktails and spirits. This hotel is not ideal for young children but luxury for adults. Needless to say we love staying here on our favourite Greek island.

We stayed for a week in September. The staff are all super friendly, the food is super fresh and tasty. The room was spotless along with the rest of the hotel. We couldn’t understand why it was only rated as a 2 star, should be higher!!

We booked a last-minute family stay at the Arkadia and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is in a very quiet location and is run by hospitable, helpful people. Everything is spotlessly clean, the food is lovely, the rooms are tasteful and spacious. I’m not sure why it is advertised as 2 star as it is more like a 4 star hotel. The pool area is great - we were able to relax and our girls played all day long in the water. As the hotel only has a limited amount of apartments it never seems to get too busy and there is never a fight for sun loungers. As other reviews have pointed out it is necessary to have transport if you wish to see a bit of the island - though it would be easy to just hang around at the hotel and switch off! We hired a car and felt we had the best of both worlds. Zakynthos is a mixture of remote and built-up tourist areas. It was good to dip into the latter but be staying in the former. Couldn’t recommend the Arkadia highly enough - Angelos, Corina and the rest of the team will make you feel very welcome.

Before we arrived at Zakynthos Island, we booked a transfer via Angelos, the hotel owner. The taxi driver brought us fast and safe to the hotel. We were welcomed by Angelos and his very friendly staff and we felt immediately comfortable in the hotel. The hotel itself has been recently renewed and the rooms are really beautiful. We ate several times at the hotel and every time the food was delicious. Breakfast is also very good. The hotel is situated in a rural surrounding, so it is very quiet. Renting a car is actually necessary (you can rent one via Angelos' firm). When we saw the overcrowded, busy and noisy towns like Tsilivi and Alykes, we were so happy to be in this quiet hotel. But especially Angelos and his great staff made this stay wonderful. They do really everything to make you feel comfortable. Thank you Angelos and staff to make our experience at Zakynthos so good!

We have just returned from a week staying at Arkadia and I can't fault any aspect of the hotel. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which had 2 spacious balconies with pool and sea views, a large, modern bathroom and clean sheets/towels everyday. The rooms, pool and bar area are all incredibly smart and clean, and the general reception/bar area is manned 24 hours. Breakfast was fantastic-a selection of cooked and continental options-fruit, yoghurts, cereals, pastries, pancakes etc, as well as a Nescafe machine. Despite the peaceful and secluded location, there are many tavernas and fish restaurants within 5 minutes drive as well as Vardiola Restaurant and beach which is only a couple of minutes walk away. We never ate in the hotel restaurant for this reason, but the menu was extensive (daily specials) and drinks/cocktails were well priced (7 euros a cocktail, 3 euros a milkshake etc.) Angelos and his family/staff were all an absolute delight; incredibly kind and welcoming, and made our stay very relaxing. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!
