What a hidden gem in Sugeres. This wonderful place surpassed my expectations. I stayed for 4 nights at the Hotel de Sugeres for a wedding nearby. We stayed in this lovely hotel as a friend was getting married nearby. The rooms look like something from a stately home - absolutely gorgeous - and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. You could not want for a better place to stay. A rather grand old house with and extensive garden at the rear, exceptional food and very hospitable hosts. This is what we call "Chambre d'hotes" in France. We visited this place because we live nearby and sometimes we need extra room for friends and family. This typical French house does not look great on the outside but once you have opened the door, walked in and visit the garden you will be pleasendly surprised.

This is a brilliant place to pass a relaxing, comfortable and tranquil few days. The facilities are excellent, bed extremely comfortable, the breakfast everything it should be. Spent two nights here in the summer. First night rather disturbed - no fault of the hotel - water flooding property next door with pompiers, police etc. to sort it out rather noisily at about 3.00am! The house is wonderful and very spacey, which combined with the super-friendly couple running the place makes for an excellent atmosphere for visiting this side of the country. Wonderful surprise behind an unpromising facade. An exceptional chambre d'hotes. M.Depardieu could not have been more helpful or generous with his hospitality.
