We just returned from a week between Christmas Eve and New Years' eve at the Limak hotel in Bafra, North Cyprus with 2 kids. The room was extremely spacious albeit a bit far from everything, it was not much of an issue. The hotel is very nice, new and staff were great. The food was excellent and completely responsible for our weight gain during the time there. The kids club staff are amazing and excellent, Ali has to be called out as a special staff member who my 3 year old admired a lot and enjoyed his fun activities. Isa in the restaurant stood out as one of, if not THE most attentive and amazingly efficient staff members who looked us after. Only issue with the hotel currently is that it is away from everything as it is a new resort area. The hotel must be super fun in the summer with all the activities that lay outside. Shame the weather was not great for ourdoor slides etc. We had a nice stroll along the beach outside which sadly was completely littered with ocean plastic, obviously not the hotel's fault but us humans as a collective! The housekeeping teams were excellent as well and no request was too much. The indoor pool was nice, clean and enjoyable along with the nice warm hammam attached to it. Shame the sauna was not operational but no harm done. The floors in the indoor pool area could be better as it was extremely slippery. The food / snack laid by the pool is greatly appreciated. The bathrooms in the common areas were spot on, cleaned very often and the staff were great throughout. The Christmas eve a-la-carte meal was very nice , a much welcome meal as we were late to arrive at the hotel due to flight issues but we went straight in without changing our clothes to fit in, but it was not an issue. We hired a car with Maxx car rental who operate at the hotel, which was pricey compared to many other options available but it did the job for us. Parking on the last day was absolutely atrocious, I think they could provide some more car parking spaces if possible (unless I didn't find the right place to park?).
Overall, I think it is a hotel we would recommend to anyone at any season and we may even consider returning to the hotel.

Hotel Limak is simply amazing... Beautifully clear sea, the sandy beach is extraordinary, gradual entrance, swimming fish. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach and by the pools, people will spread out. We have visited this resort four times now, but I must say that the quality of service has gradually declined over the years, which is a major disappointment for us.
Our experience was full of issues from the very beginning of our stay. In one room, there was only one nightstand and absolutely no place to store belongings. After several requests to the Customer Relations department, we still didn’t receive a shelf or any other solution. The second room had the same problem with the lack of a nightstand by the double bed, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. This issue was only resolved on the third day after we sent a complaint to the delegate, following our initial request to the hotel’s customer relations.
For four people, we were provided with only three blankets, and the fourth was only delivered after repeated requests. Even though we asked for it, toiletries in the bathroom of our family room were replenished only for two people. Daily intervention at the reception was necessary.
Another concerning issue was the hygiene in the bars and restaurants. The cloth used to wipe tables was carried on the same tray as the glasses and dishes and was used on multiple tables without being rinsed. After wiping a table, the cloth was often just set aside, and table settings were placed without further care. This led us to conclude that hygiene standards were very low.
