Only stayed for one nights - the lady that showed us to our room was welcoming. Arrived about 3.30 on a cold afternoon lady that showed us to the room told us that the heating automatically comes on at 5 o clock but it would have been nice to have a warm room when we arrived an hour and a half was a long time in a cold room so this is the reason I have given them 4 stars and not 5. Otherwise the room was comfy with quirky deco which was nice. Bed was comfy and when the room heated up it was lovely. Nice bathroom but did have a problem with the shower going cold. Can’t comment on the food as the restaurant closed on a Sunday evening and Monday but the menu in the room looked good.

This place seems to have it all. We had an evening meal here and enjoyed a good choice of menu, beautiful food and superb friendly service. The place has been nicely styled and decorated. Another, well deserved, five star review for whitfords!

Travelled to Burry Port to meet friends and celebrate my wife’s birthday. Stayed for 2 very memorable nights. Nikos, his wife Jessica, Louis and Karen looked after us brilliantly with nothing too much trouble. The rooms are simply stunning with a real homely feel rather than the usual faceless, corporate hotel style. Our room was a deluxe, more akin to a luxury self contained apartment with all the necessary amenities and a shower on a scale you could back a horse into. We and our friends ate in the restaurant and the menu provides just enough choice of what turned out to be fantastic food. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the slow braised beef with perl las (welsh blue cheese) whilst I had the pork belly. Both were divine. Can’t remember what my friends had but there were certainly no complaints. Nikos and Jess are the perfect hosts and run a well organised establishment with a real friendly vibe. It felt like a home from home. We stayed up to the wee small hours with a couple of sore heads in the morning but the hearty, very tasty and well priced breakfast (incredible sausages) helped clear the cobwebs - well, for some of us. Overall, would I return? - most definitely. A huge thumbs up and who would have guessed an English couple and a Scots couple could end up in Wales to be well looked after by a Greek man......and of course his Welsh wife. Superb!

Just returned from a weekend stay with some friends and can honestly say it was perfect. From the wonderful welcome by Nikos and his lovely wife Jessica, we loved the quirky rooms that were large and comfortable, we enjoyed the food in the restaurant and the relaxing atmosphere of the lounge bar. This is absolutely highly recommended
