Arrived before 1400hrs. To join elderly relatives who were eating. My Mother who is 85 and my youngest child of 9 where with me. Carlos, the bar man continued his conversation with a bored lookin customer who was trying to get away. He kept talking, at least five minutes whilst three of us waited at the bar. I asked to...

Stayed recently in the Kirkstile and overall had a great experience. The location and setting is lovely and the real ales and food was spot on. Really quirky old inn with plenty of character and always seemed busy. Only downside for us was the fact we paid to stay in the premium room but sadly the facilities didn't match it's...

Did not stay at the Inn, but came here for dinner on a friends recommendation. Awesome setting next to an old stone church, river and mountain foothills. The pub is cosy with beautiful wood beams, and some of the best pub food we have tasted.

We visited the Kirkstile Inn during a family holiday. We went along with our dog for a few drinks. Although advertised as a dog friendly pub, it only allows dogs in before 6pm, so we had to sit outside in the cold. It does look like it does nice food. So if you're visiting without a dog, it's probably quite...

Went with 4 for a Saturday lunch meal. Bustling place, obviously popular . Folks having drinks, light snacks or a full meal. Was busy so we were booked into 'the barn' , a room out with the bar area. I suspect it may be more used for breakfasts and overflow. It was chilly with no heating on, but staff did...

After many friends telling me I should give this place a go. Wish I never bothered food was overpriced and not very good at all stale bread and beef that was dry and tough as old boots saving grace was leaving and knowing that I never have to return give it a miss try the Wheatsheaf in Lorton or the...
