We stayed here for one night while in the area for a family birthday so chose it because of the location. The staff are the best thing about this place, everyone was friendly, but there were many things that we were not happy about. The carpets throughout, including our room, looked as if they had not been vacuumed recently and... More

Thank you for your review. I think some aspects of your review are unfair so I felt the need to respond to those points. I'm delighted to hear that you found us to be friendly and will always try to take feedback on board to improve any aspect of or B&B. However I must say that I personally hoovered your... More

We booked to stay at the George and Dragon for one night (Saturday) and had a very pleasant stay. This is not the first time we have stayed and its always our first choice when visiting Tarvin. My Partner and myself and our two young children had a very comfortable sleep. We were tired after our long journey so got... More

We live nearby to Tarvin and have called into the George & Dragon now and again with no reason to complain. However, yesterday we called in for a drink. The first thing we were greeted by were around 6/7 young lads sitting on the tables out the front eating chips from the chippy. My husband went to the bar while... More

We used to go to "The George" on a regular basis - always really good food, good choice of ale and excellent service - not any more - we went last night, had a table booked for 9 people at 7:30 - we arrived to find no table ready - all orders taken at the bar - and when it... More

Visited with 6 friends, we had just arrived and staying virtually next door at the old village hall apartment for a night out. The service was good, very efficient and the lunch was tasty. Nice surroundings too.

I've stayed here quite a few times when in town working, and the rooms are immaculate, feels like so much more than a £59 B&B... Today was the first time I have just dropped in for lunch, and wow, the food is amazing too... Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere nice to stay or eat in cheshire :)... More

Called in for lunch 18 of us after a walk around Tarvin. Ordered soup & a sandwich. Soup was undiscribible. I can only tell you it was purée green/grey in colour & very bitter. It was not fit to eat and when I complained the girl cheekily said to another lady who was waiting for hers ' shall I cancel... More

Great place, will be back. Also visited your other pub The Plough in Gresford too only a few days ago, really friendly short guy behind the bar who I haven't seen before - you have such friendly staff. Both local type pubs but welcoming to everyone. Keep it up! Thanks

Set in the small tranquil village of Tarvin, this friendly and contemporary designed pub has plenty of bar space kept mainly for drinking, with lots of choice on drinkswith both draft and bottles to choose from. The dining area is well laid out with plenty of space and a hoid traditional pub menu and suitable for couples and families alike.... More

We were a group of 12 people who visited the George and Dragon on a very busy Saturday evening following the Christmas fair. We received outstanding service from Emily and the food was most enjoyable. Would highly recommend and we'll be back very soon.
