We enjoyed a lovely one night stay, the highlight of which was the Chef’s taster menu for dinner. My wife and I both thought it was one of the finest meals we can ever remember having eaten ….. and we have tried most of Yorkshire’s Michelin star restaurants over the years …… this was easily the equal of them. The service was excellent, the staff polite and professional and the food was simply outstanding. Highly recommend if you enjoy great food!

This is our third stay over the years at the Hall, on this occasion for my birthday and booked through the Yorkshire food guide. On arrival we found we had been upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise and very thoughtful! The suite was gorgeous with the biggest bed I think I’ve ever seen, a note wishing me happy birthday from the owners was a lovely touch and so indicative of the thoughtful “nothing too much trouble” treatment you get at the Hall. We had booked the taster menu for dinner, and boy it did not disappoint. A true gastronomical treat with numerous courses of beautifully crafted food both visually stunning and incredibly tasty. Breakfast again top quality, unrushed, served perfectly and a great end to our stay. I doubt you’d find a better example of this type of stay anywhere. Truly top notch and enjoyable.

We attended a wedding here and stayed overnight. The food was good and the wedding was lovely, but I found staff were incredibly rude towards us. I found they looked down on us a lot. The bedroom was very uncomfortable, the big bed was slanted on one side of the mattress so you couldn’t sleep without falling to one side. The z bed had 2 slats missing in it only found out in the middle of the night when my toddler fell through it as the missing slats were next to each other. The lady on reception was pleasant when I told her about the slats and said it would get looked into so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. The room was so warm making it hard to sleep, when the windows were open we could hear the workers outside throwing bottles into the bins and talking very loud. Overall for the money that was paid for 1 night it wasn’t worth it, especially for the poor bed situation.

This was our second stay here, a follow up to our 30th wedding anniversary trip last year. The hotel had been advertising some special offers for a variety of days around Christmas 2023 and into the New Year and hence our visit. We just stayed for a single night and had booked a garden suite however we were treated to a complimentary upgrade to the Oglesby Suite. It was magnificent, so spacious and with a huge 4 poster bed, leather sofa and two chairs. Beautiful bathroom with a spa bath and separate shower. We had the tasting meal of the season and nothing is too much trouble when asking for variations to be made as we are both don't really eat a lot of red meat. The food, just as last time, was amazing. Hard to imagine that small portions can fill you up so much! The breakfast the following morning was just as good, all freshly cooked to order and served in the lovely orangery. The staff are all so friendly and they do actually care about your experience and make it the best it can be. Highly recommended, we'll be back again in the future.

We looked at several venues and chose this as it just had that WOW factor!including character of the building, the surroundings, the ease of parking, the rooms, and just the feel of the place. The room for the ceremony and dancing was perfect and the orangery was just the most amazing place to have the wedding breakfast in. Then there were the staff! They all were literally amazing and couldn’t do enough to make the day so special, even at the food tasting weeks before we stayed over and they were amazing. Speaking of food, every single guest loved it all, from canopies to the main meal, top top quality. Alison who was the wedding coordinator was the best I could have asked for, she guided us through everything from our initial look around to helping on the day, she made everything seem so easy and was always there when I went into panic mode! I can’t recommend her and Goldsborough Hall enough! Don’t look at wedding venues without seeing this one.

Excellent one night dinner B&B at Goldsborough Hall. Beautiful room, superb food and friendly attentive staff all in a lovely country setting. Came away feeling very relaxed and that we had had a much longer stay than we actually had! Will definitely visit again.

We can not get enough of Golsborough Hall, it is quite simply outstanding in every way. The staff are charming, and so welcoming. Service is impeccable. Whichever category of room we stay in, we are always happy as they are all so lovely. The dining experience is fantastic from start to finish, the food delicious, this time it has to be the best fine dinning meal with have ever had (we enjoyed it so much that we are looking to book again for this month... to have it all again!) The attention to detail, little extras the amazing staff and the whole ambience of Goldsbrough Hall makes it so special. A perfect, relaxing stay.

Our third stay and second already this year. Definitely our favourite hotel for a treat! Fabulous surroundings, lovely staff and the food is superb! When we left, they were preparing for a wedding … if I hadnt already been married for nearly 44 years, this is the place I’d choose for my wedding too 🙂

We've enjoyed several visits to Golsborough Hall and it is always first class. The staff and friendly, welcoming and extremely efficient. The bedrooms are comfortable, quiet and beautifully appointed. The best part is the dining experience; from drinks in the library, to the delicious tasting menu with the wine flight. There is nothing about Goldsborough Hall not to like. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

2nd visit, upgraded to Emperor suite which was a lovely surprise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tasting menu very good although the richness of each course left us feeling full by the time we reached dessert. Wine pairing excellent and would definitely recommend a stay at this historic venue.
