Regrettably, we were unable to secure a meal at any other of our preferences nearby over the busy Easter period. Faced with the lottery of Finlay's fish and chips (see my review), we chose this. Average pub grub, pie came with the massive faux pastry topping which dissolved into tasteless sawdust fragments of nothingness on impact with my knife. A...

It is a lovely place, in fact most dog friendly pub we have ever been. Staff was great and they really love dogs - they are not doing it just for the money. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable and food was marvelous. Will return for more.

Visited Easter Sunday around 3:30pm and was surprised to find the place nearly empty. The bar had a fantastic selection of ciders and this enticed us in after our long walk along the coast path. The menu seemed varied but a little pricey; but with limited options in the area at that time in the afternoon we choose to eat...

This is a very old Inn and has lots of character, low beams and wood paneling. With a selection of 40 ciders to choose from (Heaven). The rooms are basic but functional, all dogs are catered for at no extra cost. The food portions are LARGE, the haddock at breakfast was larger than the plate with two poached eggs, enough...

We ate here two nights as it was our local pub and weren't disappointed. The chilli con carne, sea food curry and chicken stroganoff didn't disappoint. The portions were huge and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Not sure why they serve new potatoes with the stroganoff and at £17 it was quite expensive but very tasty all the same....

Good location for Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door; but the bar/restaurant was dirty - sticky tables and seating that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The room was tiny, dated; the shower was useless; the sink tap made a loud noise when you turned it on; the towels and bedding looked like they were from 1970; the pictures...

We stopped here after a long walk and was made very welcome. The people are very friendly and the fact they allow dogs in adds another dimension to the place. Great selection of drinks as well and very reasonably priced. The food looked very good and well presented

We went to this pub and ordered drinks and a jacket potato. Their offering of 40 types of cider and 6 real ales was impressive but the food was probably the best jacket spud I have had outside the USA where Idaho potatoes are superb. The accompanying said was well presented and consisted of shredded lettuce, pickled onions and gherkins,...

Breakfast phenomenal but more than necessary. Welcome lovely and attention to customers very good. Shame about evening meals - quantity high but quite bland - probably good if you are doing the fantastic walks nearby. Rooms need the electric heaters which are available, bars and dining rooms a bit chilly. Mac loved his sausage at breakfast. A lovely village, 10...
