My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely weekend. We did not have a dog with us but most people staying did. The room did not smell in any way of dog but it was fun to see them all at breakfast tucking into their sausages while their owners ate. The breakfast both days were... More

The Castle Inn is an attractive looking thatched pub on the main road to Lulworth Cove with parking available across the road. There is a tiered garden to the rear and plenty of seating to the front of the pub. The food is available from midday and is plentiful and tasty. There is a good range of beers and ciders... More

This is a good place for a pub lunch/snack, and it sells a wide selection of cider. Remember however if you have anyone in your party who looks under age that they must have an ID or they will not serb=vbe them anyh alcoholo even with a meal and their Dad vouching for them!

Excellent experience, firstly, DOGGY FRIENDLY. Dogs welcome indoors or outdoors as long as on a short lead. Great selection of ciders from the southern counties. Food is a bit expensive but once the food was served at our table the portions were massive, excellent value for money. Staff extremely warm and friendly, fabulous experience and highly recommended. Thank you so... More

Although we'd booked several weeks in advance it wasn't until we arrived that I realised how well stocked it was with local West Country ciders, and if available you could even take it home. The meals were very good value, and the large breakfast certainly set us up for the day. Our room was more than adequate, comfortable and well... More

Been to the Castle Inn on and off for over thirty years and this visit was the most disappointing. The beers we had all tasted a bit off, (3 different ones) The two Ciders the same, but we are talking Scrumpy. The staff were a bit haphazard and I am not sure fully trained. For pub specialising in local and... More

This accomodation is the worst we have ever stayed in! The whole place needs decorating, a thorough steam clean and new furnishings. The Inn is dog friendly, we were without a pet, but even dog owners don't have to accept second best. Breakfast had a very poor choice with cheap, poor quality ingredients. Cutlery and crockery stuck to the sticky... More

Just stayed for weekend. Pub advertises as dog friendly and it is but the dogs get the best deal. Stayed in room 15, bedroom and bathroom were clean but looked like they had not been decorated in 20 years. Reaction on entering room was as other people stated, completely disappointing and you question whether you wish to actually stay. On... More

i booked a one night stay for my partner, myself, and our dog. On arrival we went into the bar, and were amazed at the choice of ciders, and beers available, all reasonably priced, bar was busy, and seating area outside was busy too. This is a dog friendly pub and hotel, which is why we chose it,our room no.16... More

We arrived at the castle inn for a one night stopover on the way back to Kent from Cornwall. We specifically chose this pub based on the fact that we could bring our dog with us, and there is absolutely no doubt that they're very dog friendly which is great. Upon entering the pub it appeared quite dingy, and a... More
