A traditional feel, very unique, lots of character in the building, got some very tasty food, friendly staff. Offered the women tastes of 3 different wines to pick their favourite which I thought was a nice touch. Although I wasn't blown away by my own personal food choices (taste wise) some of the meals the others had did really look... More

Stopped 1 night with the wife in the Dom Ruinert Suite. Accommodation was excellent, thought of everything , lovely design , good quality & great fun. Restaurant & Bar again was quirky only complaint was Bar good finished at 6pm and restaurant at 9:30. Couldn't get a table till 9 as the amount of tables is limited. Overall would definitely... We stayed at the "Who'd a thought it" campaign and oyster bar, hotel and restaurant last night and we loved every minute of our unique stay. We were greeted by a lovely staff member called Andrea who showed us all the gadgets and perks of our room...the Dom Ruin Art room 6, which was so fancy it had an indoor... More

On entering the grounds it's hard not to be impressed with the country view and the oldy world pub that sits before you. Entering the pub was the same, the young lady showed us to our room, again was impressive little walk to the rooms, looked very different from being anywhere remotely close to town and villages you felt miles... On the whole we had an amazing time. Room was really impressive on first glance. However a few tiny points let it down. The feature headboard had sticky brown stains on it that I wiped away with a baby wipe, a leather-effect chair was taped together at the back with gaffer tape, then later in the bar the wine glass... Pros: 1. Lovely jucuzzi. Nice outside area. Reasonably private, which you would expect from this kind of venue/novelty. 2. As a designer myself, I got it, but certainly room for improvement. 3. Lovely breakfast Cons 1. Massively overpriced, cheap looking, poor quality finish, a little tacky. I've stayed in far superior Central London Hotels for the same price. 2. Not... More
