This is the only hotel option in La Sage which is only a very small place but it doesnt just rely on being the only place in town. We made our reservation through Booking.com but due to the hotel changing ownership between this date and our arrival, the booking didnt come through onto the new owners system. Thankfully we arrived...

Alpenwild set our group up to start from this little gem. It would have been nice to stay more than one night as the facilities were very welcoming in this tiny hamlet. We were also fortunate to have dinner here and they did not disappoint. The meal was first rate and set the tone for a very pleasant week of...

What a truly amazing hotel in a wonderful setting. My feet were killing me and I was so happy when the Hotel de la Sage came into view. We were greeted by the new owner who immediately set about getting us booked in and called on the chef to provide us with a light lunch. Our bags had arrived via...

The hotel is snug and comfortable, with a nice reading room full of sofas and offering a 180-degree view of the countryside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Perhaps most importantly, the standard of the food here was head and shoulders above anywhere else we experienced on the Haute Route. Strongly recommend.

We were in the hotel as a part of Haute Route ... very friendly stuff, elevators in the hotel (not trivial), tasty meals. Great view! The hotel is located near the waterfall, in the night it was disturbing and we slept with earplugs. ))

We stayed walking the Haute Route. We booked a double room with private facilities and half board. The room was lovely with a good bathroom. Staff are very nice and helpful and speak good English. There were views from everywhere: our balcony, the common lounge room, the dining room and the bar downstairs. Dinner was tasty and there were even...

Hotel de La Sage is a beautiful and charming boutique hotel that used to be pension. Not a lot of rooms, very warm welcome, great team, fine food, and an AMAZING library where I could spend days (weeks? months?) reading while and watching the surrounding mountains. Rooms are really cosy and comfortable. And no need for a car (once you're...

Walking up the hill from the valley, we were surprised to turn a corner and find the Hotel de la Sage shining in the sunlight with guests enjoying drinks on the patio. It's such a tiny and remote seeming place, I thought there would be nothing but farms for miles. Our room was large and lovely, overlooking the mountains, with...
