Wow - what an awesome place - what an awesome couple - Mirjam and Dominico.
We have found paradise on earth, and they have made it possible.
Warmhearted and extremely hardworking, funny and competent hosts. You will love them to the moon.
But don't you dare get in our way for a room to our next visit....

Everything was absolutely perfect.I

The location is set in beautiful scenery overlooking the valley, and was private and quiet.
The accommodation itself has so many beautiful places to sit or wander; the gardens were an exploratory delight, and I loved finding a Buddha here and there in amongst the trees, and loved the pond and deck area.
Nearer the house is a lovely, clean swimming pool in a terraced area with loungers.

The room we had was gorgeous. Old wood flooring, cute windows, original artwork by Mirjam ( I loved the wee dog painting!) and lovely access up the stairs to our room, with our own balcony. Perfect in the evenings. The ensuite bathroom was spacious, with traditional decor, but had all the modern amenities, and everything we needed.

Our hosts, Domenico and Mirjam, were so welcoming to their home. We were treated very much like friends visiting rather than guests, and this made for a very relaxing and stress free stay for us in our daily tours around the area.

We treated ourselves on one of the evenings to a meal at the house, and again, Domenico and Mirjam were fantastic dinner hosts, with gorgeous homemade Italian food made by Domenico, and entertaining chat on just about everything!
The breakfasts were fresh and healthy (cereals, fruit, homemade breads, jams, cheeses, juices, and homemade cake/ pastry) and plenty of it.
Enjoyed our morning greetings from dogs big Nacho and wee Linus!

Domenico had prepared tips for good eating places within a 30 mins or so driving radius (places he'd been to himself) and all of them were spot on. Highly recommend any of them, from the Indian restaurant in Caldas, the fish restaurant in
Sao Martinho and the family run restaurant Solar Dos Amigos to name a few!

Great location to visit the Buddha Eden garden in Bombarral, Obidos, Alcobacar, Caldas da Rainha, Foz do Arelho, etc.

In short, we would highly recommend Vida Vi and it's lovely hosts, as well as the peaceful location, yet within easy reach of so many great places in Portugal.

Fabulous holiday here - thank you !

We spent ten days at this property located in the green Portuguese hinterland, strategically located to visit many places of interest (Óbidos, Tomar, Coimbra, Nazaré, Fatima, Porto, Peniche...). Here we had the pleasure of knowing Miriam and Domenico:, the two owners of the farm. What about it?! Both of priceless hospitality, courtesy and professionalism. Commendable the care with which Domenico takes care of the two ponds on the farm and the adjacent gardens, the care of Miriam in serving a rich breakfast every day with proposals of bread and homemade cakes and in accepting that every little detail is perfect. Always available to help us choose the most characteristic places to visit and typical Portuguese restaurants in the surroundings.
Impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and common areas: salt pool where you can cool off on hot days, small settings here and there where you can spend a few moments of meditation listening to the sounds of nature. Not least the company of their three dogs who welcomed us in the morning and good night in the evening.
Highly recommend!

Absolutely Outstanding! The hosts, Domenico & Miriam went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Breakfast was an elaborate spread with special orders taken at anytime! They were always available to assist with suggestions for sightseeing, directions and restaurants. The rooms were spotless clean, roomy and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully maintained and their dogs are friendly and just as welcoming as the hosts! The location was perfect...centrally located and easy to get to the top attractions!
We were so thrilled to have found them!

If you are looking for a smart, comfortable friendly place set in stunning countryside look no further. What a treat! From the exquisitely designed rooms, to the beautiful gardens and pool (pity it wasn't quite warm enough for us in April!) every detail seems to have been thought through.
One of the owners and managers of the facility, Fernanda who, it turns out, is also an accomplished professional interior designer, seems to have taken a personal interest in the design of every detail of this stunning facility. Words and photographs can not do it justice, I can not praise it enough. Rooms from about 50 Euro to about 100 Euro depending upon the room and the season. Evening meals are also available. The very best of Portugal.

This was the highlight of our honeymoon, a real hidden gem. Fernando and Jose were so friendly and welcoming, it feels like home away from home. We loved it so much we changed our reservation at our last hotel, so we could go back there for another night! If you like peace, calm, beautiful scenery and great food this is the perfect place.

I have never been to Portugal before. My son was married there on 30th July at this fabulous hotel. What a wedding! What a fantastic setting. Brilliant organisation. Perfect. Super waiters served us throughout.

I stayed for 14 days and can honestly say it is the best hotel I have been to. Fernanda and Zé along with André, could not do enough for us. If you are looking for peace, tranquility, beautiful gardens, this is for you.

You do need a car as it is around 30 mins from Caldas da Rainha, the nearest town.

I want to go back very soon!!

Feel like the landlord of an ancient farm in the south, just with no cows ;-) but the most friendly personal you can think of.

Here they read your wishes from your eyes.

4-5 rooms, some in the annex building, some in the main. A huge livingroom, a pool and total silence. That's what you find here.

The garden of about 2 hecktar with a little pond and fairy tale like views.

We will come back!!!
