Sirikoi offers so much more than a safari holiday; after four nights here we left as part of the Sirikoi family. Thanks to all of the staff including Sue, Caroline, Maria, James and Terri and the rest of the team. We felt very safe visiting Sirikoi during the pandemic, there are stringent hygiene measures and a large part of each day was spent outside. Everything was done to ensure we were safe and very well looked after. Chef did amazingly well at catering for me and I really enjoyed the warm, home-made, gluten free bread for my first lunch. I recommend a minimum of three days, ideally you’d spend four (or more), as the conservancy is large and it is teeming with animals. We were very lucky and saw a wide variety of wildlife, including many babies and infants (of all species). Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at the Lodge at the beginning of October 2020 for 2 nights. It was the Pandemic time, but our stay was really safe. We were provided with personal masks and sanitizers upon arrival and that was cute. We had a fire place in our room and a panoramic window in the bath so you may enjoy a wild life take a bath. At the lunch time the elephant and other animals came to the river bank near the restorant, thus you may be sure that that you will watch animals even being at the Lodge and not only at the game drive.
The main reason we came was the game drive and we wanted to see rhinoceros as it's the only place where you can see them black and wide. And we weren't disapponted. We had the best guide and drive James who showed us 4 from the Big five (Buffalo, rhinoceros, loin, elephant, we didn't find leopard, but it's very very hard to find it) and many other animals, he told us a lot things about all animals, interesting facts, he did his best just doing his job.We didn't ask but I suppose that he has a Silver guide status.
The Lodge was very conformtable and cozy, we were the only guests in there so our stay was even safer when we expected. Caroline, the main manager, was very kind and helpful. She woke up every morning to wish us a good game drive stated at 6 a.m. and was always around in the late evening, it was very nice from her.
If you still doubt go or stay at home because the pandemic took over the World I assure you that your trip will be the safest as the major part of people stay at home and additionally you will get a private service!

There aren't enough superlatives to describe each amazing experience at Sirikoi. The team is kind, thoughtful, attentive, detail oriented, and highly professional. The location within the amazing Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is stunningly beautiful and the property is meticulously maintained. The food is fresh, healthy, carefully prepared, and always delicious. The guides, particularly James, are the best in the business. Simply put, the experience at Sirikoi is second to none. Each time I visit, I'm overjoyed to arrive, and sad to leave. This fantastic place always exceeds my very high expectations. Sirikoi Lodge offers what has to be one of the best experiences anywhere in the world. Thank you to Sue and the entire Sirikoi team for another wonderful visit. I look forward to returning as soon as possible.

A luxurious retreat in the middle of the world-famous Lewa Nature Conservancy. Offering excellent guides (hint – ask for Legei; he’s amazing!) and the opportunity of seeing lion, cheetah, leopard, rhino. zebra and host of other very special birds and beasts – seeing them from just a few meters away in many cases. It just doesn’t get much better than that. The ‘tents’ (think very nice suites with canvas roofs) are very clean, very comfortable, with private washrooms and in a beautiful setting. The food was excellent and the management was devoted to making our stay the best possible (Caroline, their rep, seemed to never sleep). Of note is an affectionate, tame giraffe in camp and the fact that great attention has been paid to making the resort as environmentally friendly and self-sufficient as possible, including a large organic garden, solar water heating, etc). Another hint – it can get cool on occasion depending on season, so bring a fleece or sweater. Simply outstanding in every way.

Alistair and the staff and the Sirikoi Villa made our stay in Kenya an unforgettable experience. Dan, Thomas and Ottie, with the assistance of Eric, prepared and served meals on the deck, in the dining room and on the verandah. In the wee hours of the morning we were met with a general tap on the door with coffee and biscuits, to prepare for our dawn rising game ride with Nguila❤️❤️❤️❤️. He was a joy to be with daily. So knowledgeable and so happy to show us all the Lewa had to offer. George, the gardener took us on a fascinating tour of the organic garden and other behind the scene gems. Their commitment and dedication to conservation and reducing the carbon foot print is evident in everything they do. I cannot day enough about all the people we met at Sirikoi, Caroline, Jennifer, Anna, Nathan. They all made us feel like family and treasured guests. We could not have asked for a better introduction to the warmth and love of Kenya.

We've just returned from the most incredible weekend at Sirikoi Lodge, it really does deserve its reputation as Kenya (and Africa's) top luxury safari lodge. From the moment we arrived in the Lewa Conservancy, the Sirikoi team went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay; their hospitality is incredible and we were immediately made to feel like part of their family.

The lodge itself needs to be experienced to be believed, set in an Acacia orchard with wetlands just beyond the lawns with herds of game everpresent. The stunningly comfortable tents were a home from home, designed with a perfect combination of safari chic and luxury living. The food was incredible as were the service team who made sure we had everything we needed. James our guide was fun, knowledgeable and professional, showing us all there was to see and more. To top of a perfect weekend, we got engaged at the top of Mkutikuti Hill!

Thank you Sue, Penny, Maria, James, Ecru and the rest fo the team, you've really given us amazing lifetime memories of our stay.

My husband and I spent three nights at Sirikoi Lodge last week and we are very enthusiastic about our stay. Sirikoi is the most beautiful lodge we have seen, very tastefully decorated, with excellent food and fine service. The personnel tended to our every wish. During these times with Covid-19 fears, I cannot imagine a more safe place to stay: as we stayed in our own tent, full social distancing was possible and all meals were taken outside. And the jeep that was used during game rides has no windows, which makes it fully ventilated. Our game drive guide was very knowledgeable and knew the conservancy like the back of his hand. Thus, we saw an abundance of wild animals.

Our first trip to Kenya and a safari couldn’t have had a better start. Sirikoi Lodge was everything and more than we expected. Spectacular lodgings, fabulous food with all the vegetables and herbs grown at camp ( a true farm to table) and staff that went over and beyond. The way they give back to community and the completely eco friendly way everything is done is the icing on the cake. Needless to add that the game viewing and drives etc were all that we expected and more. We will definitely be back. Special shout out to the manager Caroline and our guide Peter. Pricy but worth every dollar.

After a short flight from Nairobi, my wife and I were picked up at the airstrip by our guide James. We then drove about 20 minutes to Sirikoi where we were met by our host Kadia. We were escorted to our luxury tent. The tent has a canvas top so you would call it a tent, but otherwise it is a luxury room with fireplace, separate bath and shower, sitting area, and large deck where you will view animals sometimes within 20 feet of the deck.
Once settled in, we took a tour of the property including the amazing 1 acre garden that produces all the food you will eat except for proteins. The chickens produce the eggs only.
That afternoon we did our evening game drive with our tour guide James from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. ( Just my wife and I which would be the case for the next 2 1/2 days)
That first evening we had an amazing dinner with the 8 guests that were staying in the other 3 tents on the patio overlooking the property. Nicholas our outstanding mixologist, prepare delicious drinks. The food is so fresh and tasty for every meal.
At night the security person walks you back to your tent while gazelle and the animals hangout to feel safer for prey. Lions can be nearby. Under no conditions did we feel unsafe.
At 6:00 AM each morning we were brought excellent Kenyan coffee and wonderful biscuits to prepare us for the morning drive.6:30 to 9:30 AM.
Once back at camp we ate breakfast, swam in the nice pool , and relaxed at our tent until 1:00 PM lunch. At 4:30 we started our evening drive.
Within 24 hrs of our 1st afternoon drive we saw all the big 5 up close and personal! Lion, rhino, cape buffalo, elephant and the elusive leopard. It may take hours to seeing any of these but we were lucky. Even saw a baby Rhino about 3 months old with its mother. The baby was so curious about us and kept coming near until the mother came directly behind us and snorted. We got the hint and left. Absolutely thrilling!
Our last morning before heading to the airstrip we had breakfast. The resident giraffe came next me where I was able to feed it some granola. How cool was that? A life time of memories.
Sirikoi is 5 star but understated. We did not want for anything for our first African experience. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else.
If you plan a trip to this part of Kenya, you must stay here.

Answer from Sirikoi Lodge

Hi… You're right, Sirikoi adjoins Lewa Wildlife Conservancy which is an hour's drive from Nanyuki or 15-20 minutes flight. I believe Nanyuki just comes up on the listing as it is the nearest large town, and a good landmark on the map for people to use as a guide when finding Lewa. Hope that's helpful - let us know when to expect you!!!! Karibu, as we say here...

Answer from Sirikoi Lodge
Nairobi, Kenya2 contributions
Yes, Anne, we can - we have an organic garden which produces most of our meals, super fresh veggies and salads, lovely tropical fruit in season, and - if you like them - fresh eggs from happy chickens. And what we don't grow we buy, so it's easy to cater for everyone's needs. I'm a vegetarian, and love the food our chefs produce!!!
