Not the best stay, room was dirty-covered in fly's but I get this happens when windows are left open, bath was dirty, then the bathroom door wouldn't open the second day of my stay.Bed was broken. I must say staff were helpful but I was disappointed when the staff member sorting out my complaint admitted the bed and room wasn't up... More

We arrived mid afternoon at the pub and were in quite a rush to get to a wedding. The staff member behind the bar was really good at showing us our room then ordered us taxis to and from the wedding for which we were really grateful. The room was small but really lovely, clean and tidy. Breakfast in the... More

Best nights sleep in ages! Great themed rooms with outstanding facilities. Friendly staff and amazing food in the bar. What more could you ask for? Lovely little village with a handy local shop, all in all I would happily visit again.

We had an amazing meal in The Snug. A group of 11 of us and it was perfect private area.Loved it there. Lovely atmosphere and great food and service. The pork crackling was to die for ! Lovely stuff. The wine was pretty good too and we enjoyed our evening there a lot.

Stayed in the Phoenix room with 2 friends for a long overdue catch-up and couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and were very attentive without being intrusive, food was absolutely fantastic - lovely choice of continental and full cooked breakfast, superb evening meal and the room was extremely comfortable. Was fantastic value for... More

Had lunch there recently - delicious pate and tasty salmon. Service was excellent and the prices very reasonable. Plenty of competition in Deddington and the Unicorn ensures the quality bar is high. Will return

Despite staff members mess up on our food pre order our food came very quickly. Lots of different dishes were ordered and none could we fault. The restaurant was full, always a testament to an establishment and this only a Thursday. If you have not visited before the delicious smell of food hits you the minute you walk on the... More

Stayed in the Centaur room and very clean. Food was and is amazing. Staff superb and atmosphere a bit on the rowdy side but bearable. Bit of outside noise but it's well recommended and we will be back. Ideal to visit the amazing Oxford and Cotswolds area .

I found the Unicorn by chance some months ago when I was in Deddington and wanted lunch. At the time I resolved to return and stay. Seven months later I made it! I wasn't disappointed, friendly GOOD food a rare genuine kitchen not warmed over reheated meals. Even on a Thursday the food service was busy, but we were still... More

I needed somewhere to stay on a regular basis for work and found the Unicorn to fit the bill. Accommodation was good an old building so sloping floors and quirky rooms but tidy & wifi throughout which is a bonus. I found it very busy in the small bar & didn't eat there as I knew of several other places... More
