The Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is a premium hotel strategically located in the heart of Namba, Osaka’s most exciting entertainment, shopping and dining district. The hotel sits above Nankai's Namba station and is the only Osaka hotel that offers a direct link to and from Kansai International Airport, with the Rapid Express Train taking 40 minutes door-to-door. The nearby subway serves as a convenient mode of transportation to many of the popular tourist destinations such as historical Kyoto, the ancient capital of Nara and the picturesque Kobe; while bus hubs to include the Osaka City Air Terminal (OCAT) provide access to various areas in Japan. Discover Osaka's kitchen at the Kuromon Market, visit local attractions Dotonbori, Namba Yasaka Shrine and Hozenji Temple, or shop until you drop at Takashimaya, Shinsaibashi-suji or Namba Parks - all a convenient stroll away. The hotel offers extensive culinary options with six restaurants, bars and café - offering authentic Japanese cuisine and Farm-To-Table teppanyaki, a modern take on Osaka's kushiage, Cantonese delights, Modern European specialties, seasonal afternoon tea and more. Location is ideal. Just above the big transport hub with links to the airport, most of Osaka, Nara and a few subway stops from the Shinkansen. Our welcome at the front desk was lovely. As gold members we appreciated the amenity and drink vouchers. No upgrade was available but we were proactively offered a late checkout. Some local knowledge was provided for finding the best food. Executive room was spacious enough but the bathroom is showing its age and the high-sided bath / shower isn’t so friendly to older guests. The executive lounge was full every night. The food offerings were generous (many clearly used it as dinner given the feeding frenzy) and there was wine, beer and cocktails available from 5 to 7pm. Breakfast in the lounge was continental with a small cooked to order menu available Wednesdays and weekends. Wifi and aircon worked well.

Hotel's Favorite
It’s been years since I’ve stayed at the Swissotel Nankai. I came here for business on a work trip to Osaka. It is located right on top of the Nankai Namba Station which serves the Koya Line & Sembokukosoku Line. What I liked about the hotel is the location. As everybody else says, Location, Location, Location. I wish there was complimentary breakfast, but it’s okay because nearby Namba Station is a wide variety of places to eat, bakeries, coffee shops, too many to choose from. That makes it so convenient to grab groceries, dine out, or take away for your hotel room. Lighting is good, bathroom counter was super small, but the space of the room itself which was fairly pacious. There was also a desk for work space and a small sofa to sit and relax. Front Desk staff was friendly, while my room was clean and tidy. Typically, hotel rooms in Asia have toiletries available in your hotel room without having to pack much. The fitness center I didn’t use on this trip, but will check out on future visits in the event the weather is not ideal to go out or if plans aren’t made. Television wasn’t a smart TV as I wish I could stream Netflix, Hulu, or Disney Plus. All I can say is that Swissotel is a great hotel!

Exceptionally well-located, the hotel is still the best in Namba and perhaps in Osaka. Great views from the upper floors, friendly and helpful staff, great lounge, lovely rooms, and just opposite Ebisubashi with access to Dotombori. All in all a great stay. The breakfast needs a special mention, as it certainly was the highlight of our stay.

Excellent location for basing exploration of Osaka and easy train ride location to all sites. Rooms were fantastic and clean and it had the best buffet breakfast combining both Eastern and Western foods. Attached restaurants are also quality. Staff were very helpful and assisted with our needs such as luggage transfer.

Firstly, I found the breakfast options to be quite limited. I would have liked to see more variety in Japanese cuisine, such as tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), traditional Japanese fish dishes, and sushi. It would be wonderful if you could expand the selection to cater to different preferences. Additionally, I noticed that the television channels available were quite limited, and there were no options for streaming services like Netflix and YouTube. In this digital age, many guests appreciate having access to a wider range of entertainment choices. It would be great if you could consider adding these options for a more enjoyable stay. Furthermore, I found it disappointing that there was no information provided about the dining options within the hotel. It would be beneficial to have a detailed introduction to the on-site restaurants and their specialties. This would help guests make informed decisions about where to dine during their stay. I also wanted to mention that the executive lounge had a cluttered appearance with miscellaneous items. It would be nice if you could focus on offering more Japanese snacks, such as tamagoyaki, to enhance the overall experience in the executive lounge. Lastly, although the executive room was well-maintained and cleaned thoroughly every day, I noticed that after the first day, the complimentary Perrier and Coca-Cola were not replenished. It would be appreciated if these amenities were consistently provided throughout the duration of the stay. On a positive note, I would like to commend your staff for their excellent service. The rooms were tidied up promptly and the attendants in the executive lounge were polite and courteous.

Hotel reception staffs were really nice and friendly, helped us to get 1hr free late checkout just by signing up as accord membership. Assisted us very well with our queries and small requests. Really enjoyed our short stay there and would definitely go back there to stay if I’m gg to Osaka next time! The room was pretty great with quite a nice view of the Namba city area, only downside is the super soft pillows..

This was my 4th checkin in Swissôtel Nankai Osaka. My friends who were their first, will not be their last. They loved the location and convenience to shopping, eateries and transport. With the big luggages, level 3 direct to Nankai Rapi!T which transport us to airport terminal. I truly appreciate Ms Sakuta effort and assistance to facilitate the change of room and honor the loyalty of Accor plus member. The room “Waon” at level 14 is one of the two traditional Japanese Ryokans with modern amenities. The futon bed is amazing to sleep in. We also appreciate the gesture of the Concierge, Mr Kingsady Thongsy who sent us an email to informed the status of delivery luggages. The team also received our breakfast box as we have an early check out to catch our flight. Lastly, the staff of restaurant Table36 worked so hard to replenish trays and cleared dirty plates. I only wish they have time to interact like before.
