I love this place, the vibe is so cool which makes a change from the rest of the places in Tokyo. Everyone is super friendly, Peter is the manager and the best host for events, the Christmas party was wonderful, lots of guests dressed up in Santa costumes and really delicious food. All the staff are super fun and friendly. It's really the perfect hostel in the best location for tourist sightseeing places. Will definitely come back ! Thank you

If you are a newbie westerner in Japan (tourist or just started working), I really recommend to stay your first days/months in Sakura hostel. They provide many cultural events and meetups which helped me to immerse into Japaneese culture. They are the best boost for the first days of your trip. During my 6-month stay in Japan, I lived in Shinjuku and also in Sakura Asakusa hostel. I liked Asakusa hostel's location more because it has a traditional vibe which I enjoyed. The best option for me was the fact that I could work remotely in the lobby and have my online meetings with access to coffee and tea. Toilets and bath are super clean. Our room's view was outstanding with a balcony. It was so nice they included breakfast. don't expect a fancy one. But we bought our own cereal or honey to complement it. Then you can say their breakfast is a time saver. I recommend staying at Sakura Hostel and I actually plan to go back there in the next year.

Probably the most upbeat, genki, hostel ive ever stayed in Japan. They have so many events where you can meet many people and you can even practice languages! I was able to hear Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, English, Chinese, and some Italian! If anyone is looking for a place to stay with loveable staff like Peter, and Hiroko, then this is the hostel for you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone! It's in the heart of Asakusa where you can easily travel to all of the historic sites in the area and plenty of restaurants. Whenever I'm in Tokyo, I always think of Sakura Asakusa.

This is a really good place if you want to meet local natives and foreigners who have lived in Japan for a long time. The staff are super-friendly, and the hostel arranges many events ranging from language lessons and language exchange to Latin dancing and international food parties. Don't worry about attending alone - you'll quickly make good friends.

I first went to this hostel in November 2019 for a 2 week backpacking trip. I have to admit this was the best hostel I’ve been to in Tokyo and even all of Japan. Knowing absolutely no Japanese, the owner Peter, was very helpful. He gave me tips and advice on the best spots to go in Tokyo. What I enjoyed most about this hostel is that there are frequent weekly events that keep people engaged. I went to a cooking event at this hostel and met tons of people - both foreigners and locals! We/I made chicken karaage and okonomiyaki and it was so much fun and turned out amazing! Overall I had a wonderful time and highly recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to have a good time! It was one of the highlights of my trip. I enjoyed it so much that I frequently visit it now that I just moved to Japan! Amazing location, social atmosphere, clean, helpful staff = the perfect hostel!
