The Hotel Century Southern Tower has garnered praise for its spacious and pristine rooms boasting picturesque views, although a handful of guests find the decor a touch out of date. Its stellar location near Shinjuku station facilitates easy exploration of Tokyo, which is highly valued by numerous travelers. The range of dining options and the hotel's general ambiance are appreciated, despite some amenities being unavailable. Guests frequently commend the friendly and efficient staff, though there are occasional remarks about the need for improved staff training. While offering good value, the hotel's post-pandemic pricing has prompted some debate among visitors.

This hotel reminds me of the Sheraton brand - rooms are little outdated, the amenities are quite ordinary, but it’s clean, quiet and comfortable with excellent service and housekeeping staff. The panoramic king room has too much arbitrary furniture, which makes it seem smaller and more crowded than it actually is. It gets annoying having to take two elevators to access the room. It’s also the first hotel I’ve stayed at in about 20 years that doesn’t require key cards to take the elevators to the rooms. Luckily Tokyo is a very safe place. There are many places nearby to eat - including lots of trendy/pricy western chains like Dean and Deluca and Verve Coffee. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to Tokyo’s biggest train and bus station, so very convenient to get around.

We liked the location of this hotel! It was easy to get to the Shinjuku or Yoyogi Station. We enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the views from the room. There is even a 7/11 inside the building which was convenient. The room was pretty standard and lacked any sort of personality. We paid for the breakfast buffet one morning and we were really underwhelmed. It was really expensive (about $50 for 2 people) and the food was sub par. Not worth it in our opinion. We did eat dinner at their bar one night when we were craving pizza and the service was fantastic and that food was fine. They did hold our bags after check out so we could explore on our last day in Tokyo. Overall, it was a pretty pricey stay, but the location was really great for our first time in Tokyo!

I use this Hotel for more than 10 years now. Direct access from NRT airport with Narita Express or Haneda airport by direct bus to Shinjuku central busstation and its proximity to Shinjuku station makes it ideal for my Tokyo business. It is accessible via Shinjuku station’s new south exit only about 150m to walk along the promenade. Lobby is in the 20th floor, rooms reaching up another dozen and a few floors. Single bed rooms are a bit small, king or two bed rooms rather big for Japan. Rooms are very clean, wet zones well equipped. Specially I like the view towards central Tokyo from the upper floors. On clear days even Mt. Fuji is visible to the west. There is a small 7/11 convenient store on street level. Altough the hotel is in the middle of always busy Shinjuku and right by the railway station the rooms are surprisingly quite. A true oasis in hyper busy Tokyo. However, countless stores and restaurants easy reachable within 10’ on foot. Breakfast used to be better some time ago. Never mind, there is a starbucks halfway to station and some more coffee places within the station. What I always miss are USB sockets, make sure to bring a charger with japanese pins.

I have been staying at this hotel for many years now, and have always loved the fact that it was a 4.5 star hotel experience at 3.5 star prices. Prices have crept up after the pandemic, but sadly, standards have slipped. Just one example is the demise of the gym. There was once a small but adequate gym on the 21st floor of the hotel. It was shut along with the convenience store on the 20th floor, but hotel visitors were compensated with free access to the nearby, state-of-the-art, Jexer gym. On this stay when I asked for a day pass to Jexer, I was asked to pay a ¥3000 fee. Century Southern Tower was once great value, but now there are better value hotels nearby.

3rd time staying here. The location is fantastic, near shopping, train stations and food. Got the usual Scenic Room with a great view of Takashimaya Times Square, Shinjuku Park, Skytree etc. Room was a bit dusty and slightly on the small side but for Japanese standards, there are much smaller hotels elsewhere so I cannot fault the size. Check in and check out was very efficient and staff spoke good English.

Great choice. Perfect location 5mins walk to Shinjuku Station & multiple shopping areas. 7/11 also close by. Room was clean & comfortable & decent size for Japan. More than enough room with large bed & also sofa by window. Plenty of room without feeling cramped & ample room in bathroom. Electric jug & safe in room which was serviced daily. Helpful English speaking staff & nice view from room. Would choose to stay here again if we ever go back

Superb hotel. Located adjacent to Shinjuku station allowing easy access to other areas of Tokyo, although Shinjuku has plenty to offer for a few days stay. Room was spacious with a fantastic view of Tokyo. King size, comfortable bed. Plenty of Japanese/ USA type of sockets and a multi socket under the desk that doesn’t require an adapter ( very useful). We stayed B&B. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet with a varied choice of national and international dishes including an egg station for omelette etc. Staff were very friendly, efficient and plentiful. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is really convenient for a city trip to Tokio: very close to the Shinjuku main station with easy connections to the whole of Tokio. Spacious room (take the panoramic view room, you will be amazed), bathroom with all useful facilities, great big bed, breakfast is an abundant mixture of Japanese and Western style. The main issue is the service. Everybody is friendly, but it you ask the front desk to make reservations for a restaurant in Kyoto due to a short one-day trip, and they say they can't do it because "Kyoto is too far away" (by phone...?!?), the recommendation suddenly drops a few points. It's a pity, really. Service is really more relevant than comfort.
