Hotel Century Southern Tower is in a perfect location, especially for first time visitors to Tokyo. The hotel itself has a business feel and there is really nothing unique about it. It could be a higher end chain hotel anywhere in the world. That being said, the view from our room was great, the rooms were spacious by Tokyo standards and very clean, the service was excellent and, as far as Tokyo hotels go, the price was reasonable . Best of all the location could not be beat. A few minutes walk from Shinjuku train station as well as a number of restaurants and bars. In the middle of the action but with quiet rooms. If we ever return to Tokyo we would stay at the Hotel Century Southern Tower.

We were here for four nights in early February. The room on the 31st floor was large and had a great view on Shinjuku Gyouen, Sky Tree... basically the east of Tokyo. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, but there are lots of opportunities nearby. As the titel says, besides from the view it's the location which makes it a good choice. Shinjuku station is a mere 5 minutes on foot, Shinjuku Gyouen maybe 10 minutes, a Takashimaya department store right on the opposite sides of the tracks and since you are in Shinjuku already, there's all the hustle and bustle of it only a couple of 100 metres away. Note that the address actually belongs to Shibuya, which may be confusing.

I love this hotel. The location is super convenient for any first time or repeated traveler to Tokyo. Literally steps away from the Shinjuku station and walking distance to tons of local restaurants and shops. The view is of course, truly amazing!! We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and tail end of a Tokyo trip - the hotel was kind enough to store our luggage for us while we traveled to Hakone and Mount Fuji area for a few nights. This made it logistically easy since there are few luggage storage sections on local trains and buses. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to come back!

Really good with the location of the hotel being so close to Shinjuku train station. A little bit basic with holiday services with the Reception for travel accommodation being on the 20th floor and business/ rent floors underneath but it always helps to be central. The buffet breakfast is great which works out to 2500¥ p/breakfast for hotel guests. They offer the bus back to Narita airport but I found its quicker and cheaper to walk less than 200m to the training station and take the NEX (Narita Express Train) on platform 4. *** Would also suggest to get a “Suica” train card (500¥) at Shinjuku JR Train Station and add some credit to it because it makes it a lot easier to take trains around Tokyo and beyond by swiping your card at gates rather than using the machines every time to select your destinations.

This hotel is a very reliable option for Tokyo. It is right next to Shinjuku station, and easy to find after getting off the Narita Express. There is also a starbucks cloesby which is really convenient. The hotel is part of what seems like large office/business tower. The hotel has more of a business feel than touristy vibe...although most guests I saw seemed like tourists. Checkin was fast and my room was spacious, and it had a cupboard - which is not always the case in Tokyo hotels. Wifi was also strong and the toilets was modern like most you'll come across in Japan. Special mention about the staff. They are lovely, polite and professional. I had booked a twin room, but had reuqested a double bed as a special request. The hotel could not accomodate this because of availability. Nonetheless as a show of good will the manager offered us complementary breakfast for the next day. And one more thing...the view from our room was great!

The hotel has decent sized rooms (big by Japanese standard) and most importantly it is very conveniently located: - on airport limousine stop to Narita Airport - across the pedestrian bridge from Takashimaya Department Store/Tokyu Hands in Shinjuku Station

Clean and nice rooms, very well located. My only gripe is that all the staffs are extremely impatient and unhelpful. It is impossible to get them to help you to make any bookings. The reception will direct you to the concierge and the concierge will give tons of excuses to try not to help you. They promised to get back to us on the booking for a birthday dinner but they did not do so and when I questioned them on it, they said it’s because they can only make bookings on the day of the booking itself and to come back on the actual day. They should have told me that when I queued up for the concierge service and when they promised to make the booking for me. It was clearly an excuse. Because of that we had to go to the restaurant to make the booking on our own. Also for a world class hotel, it’s crazy how no one there helps you with your luggages and how they redirect you to different people when you need help, such that it’s impossible to get any help you need. If you stay here, you’re definitely on your own like you would be in a host-less Airbnb. Also, when I went back I saw they charged me extra $100 on top of the already crazy expensive stay. Contacted them and they insisted we ate breakfast on the last day of our stay which we did not. Are their management scammers too? Stay here at your own risk. Am definitely never staying here again lest they overcharge me once again. Definitely a once bitten twice shy experience for me. Highly not recommended.

Stayed here for 4 nights in early January 2020. The rooms are spacious for Tokyo standards and the bed was comfortable but interiors are dated and a bit worn. There was no room service. Overall I would say that it is a nice business hotel rather than a “luxury” hotel. The front desk and concierge staff did not speak good English which was surprising. Based on the crowds in the lobby and the jaded/ borderline impatient attitude of especially the concierge staff, this hotel caters almost exclusively to tourists. Expect queues for front desk and concierge. Please note that the concierge has a strict policy of not making bookings for the guests for the date of checkout. Understandable for dinners. However I thought it quite mean when it came to lunch or morning bookings. I only asked the concierge to make one booking (a massage) for the morning that I left. Initially this was refused rather impatiently until I pointed out that I could go to the massage then come back to checkout. My booking did not include breakfast but I noticed long queues for breakfast every morning so it was probably just as well. There was a shake shack and some nice coffee places on/ around the podium of the hotel building. Hotel was 5 minutes walk to yoyogi station and away from the kabukicho / shinjuku west exit mayhem which was nice. Basically if the price is right, you don’t need much help from the hotel concierge/ front desk and you need to be in Shinjuku this is probably a acceptable choice.
