I actually stayed here in March 2023 rather than 2024 so I'm coming to this late but I still wanted to leave a review as we had such a good experience here. Overall this was one of my favourite hotels of all the ones I've stayed in. The location was great, a short walk, something like a 800 yen cab ride or a quick shuttle bus journey from Shinjuku station. Tokyo is huge and spread out so wherever you stay you are going to be spending time on the metro. Given that, Shinjuku is as good a base as anywhere with few interesting thing to see in its own right. We stayed in a King Junior Suite which was very spacious indeed by Japanese (or any other) standards, and provided plenty of space for three of us. This gave us access to the Executive Lounge which was exceptional: great views across the city, very helpful staff, a great selection of wines and other drinks and enough food option to make a dinner out of. We didn't take breakfast in the lounge but opted to use the buffet on the ground floor each day. This was also exceptional with a wide selection of great food on offer. We didn't try any of the other restaurants in the hotel but there are plenty of options in the vicinity for all kinds of food at all budgets. Some of them are a little difficult to find as they are located in underground malls and nearby office buildings, so do your research or ask the hotel staff. So overall we had a great stay and this was our favourite hotel of our two week trip through Japan. The only slight criticism I'd have is that it is a very large hotel so can get very busy at times. Check-in was particularly busy and breakfast was sometimes a little chaotic.

Hotel's Favorite
Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku, this is our second trip to this cosy hotel. This trip in Jan 2024 was with the whole family of four. Plenty of people to thank and compliment. We met Jayde at the Marble Lounge for breakfast. He gave us good briefing of Japan's Culture and Places of Interest. I did not know that Japan celebrates the Year of the Dragon wef 01 Jan 2024. Japan celebrates the New Year from 01 to 03 Jan 2024. The mashed sweet potatoes with sweet chestnut and the bean's dish behind it at the buffet table were special dishes prepared to celebrate their New Year from 01 to 03 Jan 2024. Dynasty Restaurant at Level 2 is another place we must visit. Mr Shingo Arai and his team, Harune and others, gave us a Warm Welcome during their cold Winter. Food were delicious and reasonably priced. They also have special dishes and Special Set Meals during their New Year Celebrations from 01 to 03 Jan 2024. Concierge We were met by Alan (from USA) to handle the Check-in for us. Very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly like many of their staff. The concierge who greeted us upon arrival to the delivery of luggage to our room was very courteous and helpful. The group of Concierge who helped us on checking out of hotel, bringing the luggage downstairs and loaded them into our transport to airport were very helpful and friendly. Executive Lounge The staff there were very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. This trip, I happened to have more interaction with Miss Jessy (a French lady) and Nirisha as they were on duty during my visit to the Executive Lounge. All the staff were well trained and friendly. You can just speak to any staff on duty during your visit. Housekeeping Met Mr Kasai Yukuse who provided us with the pillows we requested. Same quality, very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Airport Transfers Last but not least, even the Airport Transfers arranged by Hilton Hotel provided very good services. There was a female staff waiting for us at Haneda Airport Arrival Hall. It was so convenient to transfer from airport to Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku with their arranged transport and Help. The lady who met us at the Airport was very professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. She even helped us by taking over the trolley of luggage from my daughter and pushed along to the pick up point. Thereafter, smooth ride to Hilton Tokyo Shinjuku.

We stayed at this property as part of a Regent pre cruise (3 nights) plus 2 extra nights on our own. Room is quite large by Japan standards. Hilton was one of the first western hotels to open. This location dates to the 1980’s Hotel is clean and well run with excellent service. Lobby restaurant was the only one we used for breakfast. It was crowded since everyone tended to arrive at the same time. Hotel staff coped with crowd very effectively. Mall in B1 is excellent. There is a good market, a Seven Bank ATM (low surcharge), an excellent Indian restaurant and other shops. Hotel provides a shuttle to the Shinjuku station that runs every 20 minutes. Overall a great stay.

My family and I have been very happy with our stay at the Hilton Tokyo. Central, very clean, spacious rooms, good food. What was most impressive was the staff. We had a small medical emergency. The concierge Kemal went above and beyond to help us and get us an appointment at the nearby hospital. We were well taken care and were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Thank you!

Family of 3 staying for 5 nights during Sakura 2024. Great location with courtesy shuttle services. Good Executive Lounge and outstanding services provided by front desk and lounge staff. Room is spacious, clean, plenty of water bottles provided daily. Not sure if for Diamond members only or all guests. Definitely I will stay again in our next trips.

Several large groups staying so all bars, restaurants and lobby were very busy. Chaotic breakfast buffet and despite the lunch buffet advertised as closing at 2pm we were rudely turned away at 1.15pm despite plenty of tables available. Rooms, furnishings and decor looking worn and dated. It looked and felt like a cheap 3-star tourist hotel. Very limited room service menu with minimum 45 minute wait. We were booked to stay 3 nights but left after 1. Very disappointing and we won’t be going back.

An upmarket Hilton that is in the centre of the commercial hub of Tokyo. It has several restaurants and bars. The concierge team is extremely helpful. Shuttle bus takes you to Shijuku station and shopping area. The rooms are well equiped. Be sure to request a double bed room as most are twin bed rooms

This was better than your typical business class Hilton. Part of that might be the Japanese style and aesthetic. The staff were very attentive and courteous, especially in the executive lounge. We sprung for a city view room which had a spectacular skyline view. Try to get a high floor. The room and bathroom were small but nicely appointed and functional. Everything is very clean and well maintained. They include those marvelous electronic Toto toilets! It was very quiet, even being situated close to the elevators. The elevators could get busy at times when the hotel was full given the many floors. The daily restaurant in the lobby was buffet only for breakfast and lunch. While the selection was elaborate and included both western and Japanese food, it was hectic and busy going to and fro. I prefer sit down meals with table service and menus. The second level contained more formal restaurants with Japanese and Chinese cuisine in addition to a more conventional steakhouse. I did not find the Chinese restaurant to be that remarkable. The executive lounge on the 37th floor was large and had spectacular views with multiple rooms. It did fill up at breakfast and happy hour. The food was just OK but they had everything imaginable to drink. I liked the way they offered some table service at breakfast and would make you an omelet. I had the chance to compare this hotel to the badly outdated Hyatt across the street, and the Hilton seemed far better. Another plus is its proximity to Shinjuku Station about a ten minute walk away and there being an adjacent metro line. You can get everywhere from there.

Worst hotel experience in years! Super crowded! Long lines for everything in breakfast buffet. Paper cups for your coffee all three mornings. No fruit, juice, wait for refills of food items. Long long lines! We got up two hours early and hit buffet at 6:30am and still terrible. No insulation between rooms. We could here coughing next door, an elephant banging around upstairs day and night. Checked with fellow travelers and they had same experience. I would suggest not staying here if you want a peaceful restful stay. We can't wait to check out!!!!
