Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
I chose this hotel because it is located near the neighboring Osaki station, where I will be getting on and off the Shinkansen at Shinagawa station. I can check in at 2:00, and even if I leave my luggage after checking out, I can pick it up right away and board the Shinkansen at Shinagawa station. The neighboring Gate City Osaki has supermarkets, drug stores, Daiso, Muji, restaurants, convenience stores, etc. To get to the National Stadium and Ariake Coliseum, I transfered from the Yamanote Line to the Oedo Line or the Rinkai Line. I could also get to Yokosuka by Keikyu Line from Shinagawa Station, so it was a convenient base for this trip. The room was on a high floor, with a great view, compact, and the bathtub was just the right size. In addition to the amenities such as shampoo and body towels provided, there are also cosmetics such as makeup remover and lotion in the lobby, so it is friendly to women. There is a kettle, but only Japanese tea is provided. I could get a cheaper stay if I took advantage of the early bird discount, so I made a reservation as soon as I decided on my plans.

This was the first hotel we check-in for our 10-day Central Japan tour. It is a 3 star hotel roughly around the price of S$170/- per night.
Dinner was not included but the hotel surrounding has a supermarket and several restaurants. I had Beef and Salmon meal (688 yen) at the nearby Yoshinoya outlet while my wife ordered a set of Beef & Grilled Mackeral meal (688 yen). I like the tasty, cheap and fast meal sets at Yoshinoya. After the dinner, we explored the nearby supermarket.
The hotel room is spacious and clean. I like the sumptuous breakfast at the hotel restaurant with so many varieties of food to choose from. I like the onsen half boiled egg, the nattoes, the yogurt, the salad, porridge and toast bread with coffee, green tea and juices.
It is a decent hotel. Staff are helpful. I did not have the time to explore other facilities as our schedule was quite tight. By 8.30 am, we have check out from the hotel to proceed to our next destination.

The best thing is the location if you are on tourism or business in Tokyo. It is 100 meters from the Osaki station on the Yamanote line ring road, and a Shinkansen station to travel by bullet train to all of Japan (Shinagawa Station). Their breakfasts are very good and at a very good schedule, the people who serve are very gentle and friendly. A small detail is that the products are not left in the bathroom daily, but you must go get them at the reception, and if you forget one day, the next morning you will not go down to the reception in a towel. It's a minor detail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, especially if you have suitcases and are bringing gifts and purchases; everything fits. In short, a comfortable hotel as an operations center, its location and comfort are the best. A good recommendation; Ask for rooms with a river view, nice view.

It's directly connected to Osaki Station, and just downstairs there's Osaki New City and a convenience store, so it's really convenient, and I always stay here when I go to Japan. It's also great that there are many room choices, from junior suites for families to singles for solo travelers. The fact that the room comes with a humidifier and air purifier for this price is also a nice touch in these times. The amenities included were nice, like lotion and toner, and the shampoo and body soap provided in the room are from famous brands, so you can use them with confidence. I'm very satisfied. I'll stay here again.

Imagine, you get to the property and you are expected. Management receives you at the door, your paperwork has already been processed. You are ushered to your room and screens in your room have your custom welcome message with your name spelled correctly. This is the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo. A bit of a cultural surprise, your attendants take off their shoes before entering your room! The presidential suite 1535 known as Hiroshinge is nothing short of palatial and supreme. The kitchen, office, dining and lounge all fused one spacious open plan with spectacular views of Tokyo of greens spaces surrounding urban high rise buildings. Walk-in closet and bathroom are also generously provided. Taking a shower is like walking in the rain—no claustrophobic cubicles of modern shower designs. Of course Japan is a high tech country—needless to say most room services (door, toilets, ironing or clothes) are automated. Eating from the Japanese menus tops it off—sushi, sashimi, wasabi, wagyu beef, tempura, miso soup, udon noodles and sake.
This is a place YOU must visit. I will be back.

This was my first time staying at Hotel New Otani Inn Tokyo. In fact, it was my first time getting off at Osaki Station. I thought it was a plain station, but Shui was modern? I was surprised. I was happy to see a beef bowl restaurant in front of the hotel. The interior of the elevator was gorgeous. You need a room key to press the button. Of course, you can also unlock the room with the room key. I thought the room was a little flashy, but I think it was spacious enough for the price for this class. The room faced the station side and the road side, but it was quiet. There was plenty of space in the bathtub, so I was able to relax. The only disappointment was that there were not many electrical outlets. There was soup curry for breakfast, but personally, I thought the regular curry was better.

It's close to Osaki Station and very convenient for train travel. The breakfast is very substantial, but it's popular, so even though it starts at 7:00, it starts at 6:45 when it's expected to be busy. The room hasn't changed much since the old days, but it's relatively quiet and peaceful to stay there. There's a Lawson right in front, a Burger King on the left, and a Yoshinoya below that, so it's very convenient for me.

This hotel was very basic though with a good restaurant. We booked and paid for 5 nights accommodation more than a month in advance, but when an emergency back in Australia occurred and we had to cancel some 2 days early the hotel declined to give us ANY refund, including for the breakfasts we didn't have. We have visited Japan on more than 10 occasions and toured widely, but never experienced such intransigence, if fact Toyota Rental Cars refunded us our unused balance without being asked! Watch yourself with this outfit, they obviously don't have the true Japanese spirit.

The hotel was totally impersonal. In addition to that, the staff thought they spoke English, but they would always answer different answers to the questions asked. I.e the receptionist told me that I could go for breakfast on the 14th floor. I wemt! It was only bedrooms there. The breakfast areas were in the lobby!!! On the day of checkout for our 3 days stay, he said the bill is not paid and requested 11,000 euros!!!!!!! When I said the hotel was paid ( much smaller rate), he requested proof, I asked my travel agent to send proof of pay (6 hours difference, I woke her up in panick), he got the proof and set, ok, it's paid! Have a nice day, and I hope to see you again. I've got news for you: you will NEVER EVER see me again! And knowbody else, who knows me!

On the one hand, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the location, just across the street from the Osaki JR (train) station, is excellent. There's large supermarket in the building and several restaurants nearby. Lighting in the room was fine and the wifi was very strong.
On the other hand, my wife and I had three terrible sleeping nights on what, if memory recalls, are the worst hotel beds we have ever experienced. We both woke up with back pain (we never get this normally). Also our room (and those of our friends) were very hot, despite requests to the reception to remedy this. On departure day we chose to leave earlier than checkout time, figuring we'd be more comfortable waiting for several hours extra at the airport rather than in a hot stuffy room.
The sleep was so uncomfortable, I'm rating it a 2, albeit a strong one.

Your address is wrong. If you refer to 7-chome (there is no "chrome" in Japanese address; "chome" is 丁目, a small sector), then it is 1 km to 1.2 km to New Otani Inn on foot, according to Google Maps. You can walk about 7 minutes to the nearby Yamanote Gotanda station and take 1 stop to Osaki station. From there the hotel is 3 minutes away.
