Grand Hyatt Tokyo garners praise for its extensive amenities, including a variety of dining options, a luxury spa, and a prime Roppongi location close to transit and attractions. The spacious and clean rooms with thoughtful designs are popular among guests, although some express concerns over aging decor. While the staff's friendliness and professionalism are often lauded, there are occasional remarks about service inconsistency. Despite the hotel's meticulous cleanliness and elegant atmosphere, some travelers question the value for money due to the high costs.

I love the Grand Hyatt. On this occasion, I had a room on a high floor. When I arrived, it was a crystal clear day and the view over the city, including Mt Fuji was amazing. The rooms are decorated in a very modern fashion with wood and glass. The bathroom area is large with a rain-fall shower which is terrific, especially when you are jet-lagged.

The Grand Hyatt may be the perfect business hotel. It’s location allows access to the metro trains and you can get almost anywhere in Tokyo quickly as well as short walking distance to excellent restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself has some of the highest service standards anywhere and guests are always greeted with warm smiles and fantastic attitudes. Rooms are modern, well appointed and serviced to exacting standards. If you ever need something, just make a call to the front desk or room service and it’s delivered promptly. The pool, gym and locker room are first class. This may be the best Grand Hyatt in the world!

This is our 8th stay at Grand Hyatt Tokyo within 3 years & we considered ourselves as their regular guest. We like the location as it’s close to a lot of the fine dining restaurants & their concierge team always look after our restaurant reservations. They have the best concierge team in Japan!
Always appreciate their high tech Toto toilet seat & the soft water absorbing towel. Good news is they finally upgraded their room key access to the touch card entrance which quite a lot of 5 stars hotels has already been doing that. There are still areas of improvement especially guest services area though.

First of all Rappongi is a great location for an extended stay, with lots of restaurants in close walking distance. Two subway lines converge there that can get you to most places. And the surrounding are very pleasant. Views, given it is a hill, are spectacular. we could see Mt Fuji from our room.

The hotel is really well designed, and is of a quality more similar to a Park Hyatt than a Grand Hyatt. The rooms are huge and really well designed, with lots of storage space, room to move about, work at a desk, lounge in a comfortable chair, The bathroom is especially brilliant with a rain shower in addition to a bathtub, the latter not being intrusive as in some hotels. All materials and design elements were brilliant. Another feature is huge windows, but with blackout curtains that totally black out due to their design.

Finally the staff are over the top fantastic, althouugh we have started to take that for granted in Japan.

For a one night stay, it might not be convenient, given a 25 minute taxi from Tokyo Station. In that case aI might sugget the Park Hyatt in walking distance of Shinjuku station, from which trains go everywhere.

The Grand Hyatt is located in Mori Building, directly accessible for Hibiya and Oedo subway lines and the airport limo bus. The rooms are spacious, great amenities, and staff incredibly hospitable as expected for the class of hotel.

My personal favorite is the luxurious bathroom, modern Japanese with a deep tub that fills so quickly (with bath salts!) and rainforest shower in the bath room, and separate high end Toto toilet. Super high pressure water.

If you look enough ahead of time, rooms may be available at lower rates and even better value.

Beds may be a little hard for some, though still some of the most comfortable and best night sleep of Japanese hotels.

Had a 2 night stay at this property. It is close to the Hibiya Line Roppongi Station and next to the Roppongi Hills. And that's about all the goods things about this property. Did not offer to upgrade room for once but that is understandable as it was during holiday season. Room was on the club floor on the 10th and during meal time it gets really crowded and noisy in the hallway and will negatively affect you if you want some quiet time in your room. Food selection was very limited even for a club. I would recommend anyone who is considering to stay at this property to go to the Hyatt Regency Tokyo as they are a more rational choice, better services for a less expensive rate.

Dear 178xiangq, Thank you very much for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share your comments on TripAdvisor. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our convenient location near the subway station. However, we very much regret that we were unable to meet your expectations regarding the variety of the food selection, as well as the noise from the Grand Club Lounge. We would like to express our sincere apology for the inconveniences you encountered and we have already noted your room preference (away from the Grand Club) for future stays. Should any disturbance arise in the future, kindly contact the Duty Manager or Front Desk and we would be happy to look into the situation right away. We sincerely hope that you will give us another opportunity to show you that this is not the typical experience at Grand Hyatt Tokyo. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Best regards, Grand Hyatt Tokyo

This is definitely the most luxurious hotel in Tokyo. The staff of this hotel must be the best in the world. The managers are well trained. They care about their guests. From the check in to the check out process, the staff of this hotel takes care of small details. The restaurants and facilities are in great shape and well maintained. I will definitely chose this hotel as my first choice when in Tokyo.

I was not a fan of the grand club food at all and normally I love the food at the grand club. The concierge people are clueless and horrible at giving direction of where to eat and what to do. I love the rooms and the front desk and the restaurants and the location.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The room is very spacious, overlooking the Bakery Bricolage bread & co. across the road, even though it is low floor, it is super quiet. The bathroom is huge and it has a proper bath, very spoiled, the bedding is our favourite brand Frette and it is very homey. All our pre check in requests for extra pillows and hanging spaces were honoured and no time is wasted in chasing these things. Good selection of teas provided, especially I like the Japanese ones.
But, the major issue is on the service. Calling the reception usually unanswered or may need to call me back later, the restaurant Fiorentina is severely understaffed, staff were running everywhere which made me unable to relax, breakfast is better but a bit slow for a la carte but my Japanese breakfast is very tasty and beautifully presented.
The location is great to explore on foot to Azabu Juban, and nearby neighbourhood and we even walked as far as the Meiji Memorial Museum via Aoyama Cemetery.
The subway station is around 10 min gentle walk, so it is not just round the corner and it took around 50min to Haneda Airport with no traffic jam.
I think the room rate is good value considered it is just 1 category under Park Hyatt, definitely go for it if you want to good night sleep, but not too much into other services, hope the manpower issue will become better gradually.

Oops. I saw on the website that the Grand Executive Suite Twin floor plan is very different from the Grand Executive Suite King. Apologies. It would seem even less amenable to five than the King (IMO, YMMV). The Diplomat Suite may accommodate better -- I've been in that also, and the two bathrooms would make a difference. You might ask them to remove the chairs or desk to make room for more beds, though.
